Found within the cosmopolitan Arc Shopping Centre, Byron Bury St Edmunds is a family-friendly hamburger joint. The glass-enveloped dining room allows for views out onto the bustle of the shoppers, and outdoor seating allows for al fresco dining during warmer weather.
The Byron menu is made up of proper burgers, with something for meat lovers, vegetarians and vegans alike. Made from 100% British grass-fed beef, patties are crafted with a unique blend of chuck, brisket and rib-cap, cooked medium so they’re pink and juicy, and served up in a squishy bun with fries or a house salad. Plus a cheeky pickle on the side. Favourites include the signature Byron and the vegan Beetnik burger.
Byron also offers a ‘Mini Byron’ kids menu, plus vegetarian and vegan options and fresh, vibrant salads. Round things off properly with fries, sides, own-recipe milkshakes, specially-selected craft beers and homemade desserts.
A buzzy restaurant boasting a theatrical open kitchen, Byron in Bury St Edmunds is an 8-minute walk from Abbey Gardens and the town’s cathedral.

Like the style of the restaurant. Clean toilets. Food ok - as everywhere these days, it’s overpriced for what you get. Pleasant, friendly, efficient waitress.

The place was packed, but our table was ready when we arrived. Staff apologised and explained that they were short-staffed, so there would be a slight delay. Once we ordered the drinks then food came fairly quickly. Enjoyed the food etc, and it had a friendly atmosphere. I'd happily eat there again.

Great birthday meal out from the double cheeseburger to the skinny flex. Aways great friendly service and value for money.

Last minute decision after spending 2 days at a 2 day wedding ?? After all that fine dining we all wanted a burger and Byrons didn't let us down. Bury st Edmunds is a great location with dining outside as well. The service was on the ball being attentive to our needs especially with a 5 year old..........colouring and crayons were provided as soon as we were seated 10/10 as far as nanny and grandad were concerned. Nothing was left of the burgers so I think that says it all.

Short staffed, tables not cleared and delay in staff coming over to take order. Received starter before drinks. The food was very good but due to the service We will not be returning to this branch in the future.

With a half price voucher the burgers are just about the right price. Side orders and soft drinks are too expensive. Food is OK but service was poor with a long wait for the drinks which only just arrived before the food leaving us feeling rushed. Kids like it - a view supported by the average age of the other customers on our visit. (late tennis - early 20’s). Used to be better and used to feel a bit more relaxed. Cleanliness was ok though - both restaurant and toilets were clean. Won’t be rushing back.

The service was good and it was a really nice atmosphere but I got a bean patty and it was burnt and the toppings were a little bit flavourless.

Great food totally spoilt by very poor service. Grossly understaffed, table not cleared in over 30 minutes and my grandchildren have yet to be asked if they'd like dessert.
