Frankly the most disorganised, sub standard restaurant I've been too.
I read the reviews before booking where some people had did the customer service was terrible, but as someone who works in hospitality, I gave benefit of the doubt thinking maybe it was just a one off. Took 20 mins to be seated (staff did notice us bit choose to ignore us).. they then sat us at a dirty table. We had to ask 3 times for our glass of rosecco. The food took 40 mins more to get to us, ad they had accidentky overbooked the afternoon tea. Instead of telling us that, they ignored us. Wencomplained and got the tea for free but what they served us I wouldn't want to pay for anyway. The lady behind the counter couldn't speak English which made complaining hard (asking for a prosecco she gave me a plastic cup). All in all a terrible experience with the food not that great. They have some serious staffingand training issues. A real shame and shambolic. Wouldnt return

Arrival wasn't great - there's no one to greet you and seat you. It's almost a free for all in terms of where you sit - unless you have the high tea. However it took about 10 minutes before anyone actually assisted us with seating for that, and let us know what was going on. Appreciate it is busy - but perhaps you should have a greeter whose sole job is to greet and seat new guests.

From there, the seating for high team was long benches - not exactly picturesque - considering space wise you could replace the bench with a selection of round tables and probably seat more!

However, after the above, when we were seated - the service was great, the guys taking our orders, chatting to us were really pleasant and kind. Just run off their feet - so perhaps more staff is justifiable there - you don't want your staff to be burned out.

The food itself was amazing - the scones, the cakes and the sandwiches - all of them were superb and amazing for vegan options. Who knew you could make tuna mayo sandwiches using Chickpeas?! Absolutely loved it and would recommend it to anyone who it going to try a vegan high tea.

The restaurant was cool, decor was great and the normal a la carte menu was also really well thought out (will want to go back to try that), so it's a shame the initial impression had that much of an impact on us when we walked in.

So with that I would say, put more focus on the initial people that walk through the door, you don't need to improve the food - it's already great!

    Lovely interior.
Afternoon tea was ok. I guess you get what you pay for.
    Service was INCREDIBLY slow.
Would give it another chance with a different dish if I was nearby.
