Close to the bustle of Shoreditch, Busaba Eathai Hoxton Square showcases eclectic Thai noodles, curries and small sharing plates in an intimate setting. There are imported Thai spirits and beers from the bar, as well as inventive, colourful cocktails.

Flavoursome delicacies from across Thailand are served on the Busaba Eathai menu. Aromatic noodle soups include tofu and glass noodle, made with fresh oyster and wood ear mushrooms, while celebrated pad thais pack in smoked chicken, king prawn and shiitake. Mouth-watering curries are rich in colour and perfectly spiced with the likes of banana peppers, Thai aubergine and bamboo shoots. For those just after a quick bite, there are small sharing plates of specials such as Thai tacos, chicken lollipops, and soft shell crab.

Sweet treats on the dessert menu at Busaba Eathai London include exotic flavours like pandan roll with coconut ice cream, passionfruit mousse, as well as rich banana fritters and gluten-free crème brûlée. There are Thai beers and spirits, colourful juices, as well as signature cocktails made with exciting additions like rice tea, mango lassi and mulled lemongrass wine.

With long communal tables creating a lively buzz inside, Busaba Eathai Hoxton Square is a 7-minute walk from Hoxton Rail Station.

Fanstastic venue! Very friendly staff. Super fast service! :) Loved the chicken Curry, the Duck massaman was average. Value for money not so good. :)

Good cocktails, however the restaurant is tough re substitutions, and the soup we had as a main was entirely tasteless...I had to load

It's a nice venue with big tables, so it was great for a big group (they add extensions to the normal big tables they use so they can accommodate quite a few people on the same table!). It has a good menu and my mussaman duck curry was delicious as always. Everyone said they enjoyed their food and those who had never been in a Busaba said they would go back too. Only thing I can fault is they don't have a dessert menu! They can just offer two flavours of icecream, and that's not even on the menu. Luckily we had a little birthday cake and they gave us plates so that was our dessert, but some people were quite disappointed they couldn't order one. Everything else was good and reasonably priced for Thai.

Songkla curry was good. Somdam and padtai didn't taste thai at all. Each one had one overpowering flavour and no subtleties at all. Lacking some essential ingredients, possibly including a thai cook.
