The food here is very good but it was let down by the awful service. 30 minute wait for order to be taken and then told at half 6 when the food hadn't even arrived that they needed the table back by 7pm!! Food order was wrong and no apology and all served at different times so had to wait 5 minutes for everyone to have so there food. Service charge was still added to the bill!

Service was great, food was very very nice although starters were warm not hot. Love the decor and layout. Nice wine and a great evening with a great atmosphere.

We were in London for a theatre trip and thought we'd give this restaurant a try. We booked a London Food Festival offer of 3 plates and a cocktail for £15.95 pp. We really liked the communal tables and ambiance of the restaurant and enjoyed chatting with other diners. Sadly, the food was another story. As soon as we sat down, diners who were getting ready to leave were giving advise on what not to eat. We chose The prawn crackers, spring rolls, chicken satay, chicken pad thai and a beef dish. The prawn crackers tasted as if they'd been cooked several times over and we couldn't eat them. The chicken satay was made from thigh meat, which is fine and usually very tasty, but this had so much garlic , we couldn't taste anything else and there was no peanut sauce. The Chicken Pad Thai was more like a chinese chow mein and was not very good. Both this dish and the beef dish were lacking any real amount of meat in them. Overall the food was very poor and we left most of it behind. The real icing on the cake, was that I spent most of the night in the bathroom....I'll spare you the details.
There was a discretionary service charge of 12.5% which we didn't mind paying as the staff were very friendly and attentive. What a shame the food let them down.
