We started with a delicious champagne cocktail, then chose our meal from the a la cartel menu, the choices from the festive menu looked very good too. Staff were very cheerful and helpful, good atmosphere. Only negative I would mention was where we were seated was right in line with the front door which meant it was very draughty from time to time,

Food V nice - service a little slow.
It was the week before Christmas, but didn't appear to be overly busy at the noon time slot.

Delightful surroundings. Tables well spaced rather than too crowded. Food excellent with generous portions. Service good, staff friendly and thoughtful.

I went to treat my friend for afternoon tea here and I regretted going. The scones were served warm but they dried up quickly, like rock hard, so I was only able to eat one. The red velvet cake doesn't taste like red velvet, the lemon and earl grey tea cake was so dry that I couldn't put it in my mouth. We left so much on the rack and we were so shocked and discussed about the food. The sandwiches were ok, nothing special. So sad, what a shame... I can't believe they can serve such food. Honestly, I'd say that grabbing a sandwich and cake from tesco is better than eating that. If you have the money to throw in to the bin, then go ahead and try out the afternoon tea. Wasted my money. It's not a place for afternoon tea.

We had the afternoon tea here and it was lovely. The food was great - I especially liked the mini scones and the white chocolate mousse/ganache. The tea was beautiful and we paid a little bit extra for the gin and tonic, but it was well worth the price. The staff were very friendly and smartly dressed, and the restaurant itself was beautifully presented. On top of that, the price was incredibly reasonable for afternoon tea in London. I've paid twice that in other places and got very little extra for the money in my opinion.
