I had the steak and it was rather tasteless but my wife's pork dish was excellent. We also had a table by the windows which was rather cold.

The restaurant was quite busy but very comfortable and the set menu had interesting options. Food was excellent - service was poor.

I have dined here before and like the venue and the food a lot. This time, however, the service was very slow and our waiter was quite rude and abrupt. We had to ask for water 5 times before he finally delivered a jug that was warm, and the water was stale. When we complained he offered to just bring ice rather than replacing the water. One guest ordered a portion of onion rings which were deeply unsatisfactory, small and tastless with the appearance they were just shop bought, they did not meet the standard of the rest of the meal. Thankfully, after we complained (although the response from the waiter at the time was just "what?") they did remove this from our bill but still added an optional 10% charge to the total which they were not inclined to remove despite the poor service. I will not be going back to Browns Victoria for some time and will be telling others the same. I hope the service at other Browns is more acceptable.

I am afraid this was very poor. The food was of a very low quality and the service had to be chased more than once as we were going to the theatre and had allowed enough time

Arrived at 18:30 as booked and a girl seated us, gave us a menu and told us that about 10 of the items on the menu were not available. By 19:00, no one had come to even offer us drinks let alone to take our order. When someone did arrive it was rather rushed and no water was offered. The water was pleasant enough and got the order right. The food was quite good and quite good value for money. The steak was cooked as ordered but arrived cold. The general atmosphere was very "buzzy" and loud - not the place to go if you are looking for a quiet dinner. The cocktails when they finally arrived were very enjoyable.

Very pleasant waitress if a bit hyper. Food wasn't as good as we hoped.my friends meringye was stale and unappetizing. We got a refund but the coffee complimentary would have bern a nice gesture.

This is a well-located restaurant - especially if you are going the The Other Palace theatre, which is just around the corner. There is a good menu selection and the drinks list is comprehensive. Food was well-prepared and presented and, overall, the meal was reasonable value. Service was rather indifferent, which was a shame, but we would go there again.
