Restaurant description

Retaining some of its 19th-century architectural features and décor, Browns Brasserie & Bar – Mayfair serves mouth-watering European cuisine and refreshing drinks in a friendly atmosphere. Set in one of London’s most prestigious areas, and close to Regent Street & New Bond Street, Browns is the perfect retreat from the bustle of the shops.

Spanning from breakfast through to lunch and dinner, the Browns menu offers all-day brasserie dining. Indulgent plats du jour and Sunday roasts are staple favourites, while sumptuous flavours include roasted lamb with potatoes & minted peas, Browns’ signature fish pie, and decadent salted caramel profiteroles. A sophisticated children’s menu at Browns offers tempting favourites with a grown-up twist.

Showcasing a penchant for cocktails, the Browns bar offers an array of classic mixes, signature concoctions and thirst-quenching mocktails, as well as fine world wines, and smoothies. Enjoy Browns’ afternoon tea and cake accompanied freshly-roasted coffee from an independent supplier, or a warming pot of loose leaf tea.

Browns Brasserie & Bar - Mayfair is a 5-minute walk from Green Park & Piccadilly Circus Tube stations.

We had an early Valentines dinner at this restaurant. It was nice and cosy and is a nice place to go with your spouse/partner. The scallops starter was great, so was the chocolate torte for desert and the pineapple daiquiri!

This was a pre-booked festive meal for a party of 9, timed to sit down at 4pm. Arriving on time there was an hour wait before that happened. Complimentary glass of Prosecco was offered. The venue was very, very busy..not a surprise for the time of year I guess. Our waiter was very good and did his best to plaster over a very stretched waiting service, 5 stars to him. The noise in the place from fellow diners was very loud as it was rammed, so maybe time your meal off peak next xmas !!. The food was real complaints.

Used for pre theatre dinner. Food was fine although early evening menu was a little limited. Ambience was fine. Service was disjointed with no dedicated waiter serving our table.

I loved the interior. Felt like I was "back in time". Very prompt, efficient service. Lovely, crisp, "proper" serviettes. The dessert of elderflower and gin posset was especially delicious. Brilliant price for a pre theatre meal. Would return again!

Lovely welcome as we arrived at Browns in Mayfair. We both liked the decor of the place too.....kind of Art Deco style. We enjoyed the pre-show set menu meal - it was good value for money and there was plenty of choice. We were served by Vinny and Natalie and both of them were very helpful and professional.

Terrible. They accepted a booking for their 2 course special at 7pm but when we arrived they changed their mind and told us it was now unavailable.

My dining experience at Browns was very good! The restaurant’s atmosphere was lovely, with elegant interior decor and very helpful staff. And the food was delicious.
