We went to Browns but the booking wasn't registered...even though I phoned to make sure it was. I had to move it from 7.30 to 7pm and when we got there...no booking was made! Had a great time anyway!

Retaining some of its 19th-century architectural features and décor, Browns Brasserie & Bar – Mayfair serves mouth-watering European cuisine and refreshing drinks in a friendly atmosphere. Set in one of London’s most prestigious areas, and close to Regent Street & New Bond Street, Browns is the perfect retreat from the bustle of the shops.

Spanning from breakfast through to lunch and dinner, the Browns menu offers all-day brasserie dining. Indulgent plats du jour and Sunday roasts are staple favourites, while sumptuous flavours include roasted lamb with potatoes & minted peas, Browns’ signature fish pie, and decadent salted caramel profiteroles. A sophisticated children’s menu at Browns offers tempting favourites with a grown-up twist.

Showcasing a penchant for cocktails, the Browns bar offers an array of classic mixes, signature concoctions and thirst-quenching mocktails, as well as fine world wines, smoothies and creamy milkshakes. Enjoy Browns’ afternoon tea and cake accompanied freshly-roasted coffee from an independent supplier, or a warming pot of loose leaf tea.

Browns Brasserie & Bar - Mayfair is a 5-minute walk from Green Park & Piccadilly Circus Tube stations.

The restaurant was beautifully furnished. The waiters were friendly and the presentation and quality of food and refreshments were excellent. The restaurant had a great ambiance and beautiful ambient light. The bathrooms were also clean and lovely. Great location - out of the way of the main road so as not to be crowded, but not too far out as to be inconvenient. Excellent value.

Good food - and nice selection of summer meals.
Drinks attentiveness throughout the meal was good.
    Staff were courteous.
The service towards the end of the meal was quite slow between receiving a dessert menu and then selecting a coffee.
Initially it felt like there were too many menus - with 3 things to read through - perhaps could have the wine list on the main menu?

Arrived a little early but it wasn't a problem...we even got to choose our own table. Afternoon tea was just as shown in the photo...we had the champagne and gin options. Very pleasant and a lovely location.

It took a while before someone actually bothered to come over. When we did finally get tea they gave me a sugar bowl instead of a cup....not impressed. I called out to a waiter but its almost like he didn't wish to hear me. So when the original waiter came over i told him and he apologised but it was more of a smug apology. He said the tea pots will be refilled when empty,so my friend happened to call out the same waiter who ignored me.... Magically this time he happened to listen, we asked him to bring 2 herbal teas and 2 normal. He came over with 3 cups not 4 and yes you guessed right he missed me out.....i felt like i was invisible. When we were paying he didn't even say thank you after taking the money.
They should hire people with manners.....only giving 2 stars because the tea and cakes were OK.

Very impressed when we walked in, this is a lovely little oasis just a short walk off oxford street. Waiters were friendly - but service was slow. We got afternoon tea as described, and it was lovely, albeit with only a small glass of champagne and slightly flat scones... but for the location - and the price - I'd come back here in a heartbeat.
