I read some mixed reviews but we had the early menu and couldn’t fault any of the dishes we had. We chose the Duck Parfait and mushrooms on brioche for starters. Steak and chicken and ham pie for mains. Excellent quality and served perfectly. Staff were friendly. Lovely surroundings to enjoy a late afternoon meal.

Had a fantastic dinner here on Saturday 9th November 2019. Had the roast belly pork as a main and it was superb. Service was great. Drinks in the bar was bit pricey, £13 for a cider & G&T but lovely vibrant atmosphere. Bottle of Merlot was £23 which is not bad.

Disappointing. Its a gorgeous building and we were given a quiet table as requested. Service was good but I would say the food was average. I’ve had the same meal in the past at Leeds and Manchester and it was much better in the past. The fish cake stater was very small, there was too much potato and it was soggy. Not worth the money. The chicken & ham pie was also disappointing, felt like it was tinned! We had to pay extra for vegetables which were ok but again pricey for what they were. I’m really sad because I have always thought Browns was reliable.
