We were greeted & seated very quickly. The waiter service was also prompt and friendly. The food arrived with little delay, was nice and hot and was greatly enjoyed by all group members. What more could you ask for?

Within easy reach of Leeds Art Gallery and the Grand Theatre & Opera House, Browns Brasserie & Bar – Leeds is situated on the city’s main east to west central avenue, the Headrow, in the historic heart of the city. Next door to The Light entertainment centre, this welcoming eatery is housed in a converted building complete with wood-panelling.

Spanning from breakfast through to lunch and dinner, the Browns menu offers all-day brasserie dining. Indulgent plats du jour and Sunday roasts are staple favourites, while sumptuous flavours include roasted lamb with potatoes & minted peas, Browns’ signature fish pie, and decadent salted caramel profiteroles. Showcasing a penchant for cocktails, the Browns bar offers an array of classic mixes, signature concoctions and thirst-quenching mocktails, as well as fine world wines, and smoothies. Enjoy Browns’ afternoon tea and cake accompanied freshly-roasted coffee from an independent supplier, or a warming pot of loose leaf tea.

I dined with three friends and we all enjoyed our experience. Food was good although my portion of pasta was very small. We had lovely service from friendly staff and would definitely visit again.

Excellent food but drink prices are ridiculous - £5.10 for a pint of Peroni!

tHE DECOR IS LOVELY, THE AMBIENCE WAS GREAT. THE FOOD WAS REASONABLE BUT THE COCKTAILS OF THE SEASON WERE QUITE DISAPPOINTING

Service was not very helpful when I explained that I was vegetarian and had seen a vegetarian afternoon tea advertised. He was actually very blunt and rude. We were poorly served and no sugar for tea was provided. The crockery was virtually dumped on the table from the steps that we were sat next to and the waiter didn't come back after this, either to check there was nothing else we needed or to bring the bill. Don't think we would return for afternoon tea here again.
