My husband and I both enjoyed our meals he chose the fish pie which was lovely and I had roasted lamb rump which was amazing . Our waiter couldn’t have been any more helpful and very friendly indeed

This was our first visit but will certainly not be our last. Although restaurant was very busy the staff were attentive and pleasant while the food was excellent.

Absolutely awesome meal. Had a code do boeuf which was exceptional! The service was so good too. The waiter told me the beef was reared on farms owned by Browns which would explain the quality! Had such a good time. We will be back very soon! I would recommend this to anyone looking for good quality steak!

Bit of a disaster. We'd invited visitors to Glasgow to join us here. We hadn't been but the menu looked OK &the restaurant looked suitable impressive. Wife & I arrived early, sat at the bar. Barman was both friendly &helpful. Shown our table when our visitors arrived. One is disabled & therefore we'd requested a quiet table. The restaurant is one large area, so we didn't push it when no mention was made of this. It was VERY noisy so a full table conversation was impossible - not helped by the fact that we were sat near the piano (amplified!) which we didn't realise until after we'd ordered food - when the pianist started. Nonetheless it created a bit of a buzz and we persevered & all would have been OK if the food had been up to scratch. Of the 4 (all different) dishes served, only one of us said they enjoyed their food - fishcakes. My wife had pork belly & ate it but thought it was disappointing. I had fish pie which looked nice but was completely tasteless; like baby food in terms of blandness & texture. The side of green beans was tough & under-cooked (& I like my veg al dente!) my wife's meal also came with green beans & she made the same complaint. The other meal was fish & chips & our visitor said it was cool, greasy and tasteless. Both of us left more than half our meals. No-one came to ask how our food was & we had to wait a long time for waiting staff to clear our tables. The waiter didn't enquire about the half eaten meals. When I mentioned it, apologies were duly offered & the waiter said he would adjust the bill. 20% was taken off the food bill when it arrived. However we'd booked a special deal on 'Bookatable' & we were due to receive 25% off our food any way, therefore our bill was actually more than it should have been if we'd been happy. Waiting staff were very good to get this all sorted out &we were satisfied with final bill. Nb altho' optional, they add 10% service to your bill &have to ask for it to be removed.

This is a nice restaurant and bar. The drinking and socialising part has always been better for us than the Dining aspect. I had the chicken which was fine as far as it goes but the lobster risotto with half shell on top of the rice was poor. For us, the risotto was far too dry with no gloopibess and the lobster meat would have been better in the risotto itself. Very friendly waiting staff.

I am a vegetarian so had no choice on the early evening menu. The pea soup was just ok - not very tasty and the bread was hard so inedible. The risotto was tasteless - not quite bad enough to send back.
The piano, which should have been enjoyable and added to the atmosphere, was so loud you had to shout to have a conversation.
