Housed in the iconic 19th-century ex-General Post Office building, Browns Brasserie & Bar – Glasgow is a friendly, relaxed venue, ideal for enjoying a morning coffee, light lunch or delicious dinner, as well as a variety of colourful cocktails. Nestled in the centre of the city, Browns is a short stroll away from the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.

Spanning from breakfast through to lunch and dinner, the Browns menu offers all-day brasserie dining. Indulgent plats du jour and Sunday roasts are staple favourites, while sumptuous European flavours include lobster tagliatelle, the wild boar & chorizo burger, or steak pie with buttered mash and broad beans. A sophisticated children’s menu at Browns offers tempting favourites with a grown-up twist.

Showcasing a penchant for cocktails, the Browns bar offers an array of classic mixes, signature concoctions and thirst-quenching mocktails, as well as fine world wines, smoothies and creamy milkshakes. Enjoy Browns’ afternoon tea and cake accompanied freshly-roasted coffee from an independent supplier, or a warming pot of loose leaf tea.

I am a vegetarian so had no choice on the early evening menu. The pea soup was just ok - not very tasty and the bread was hard so inedible. The risotto was tasteless - not quite bad enough to send back.
The piano, which should have been enjoyable and added to the atmosphere, was so loud you had to shout to have a conversation.

My friend and I live close to one another in France during the summer but in Scotland during the winter. We meet up for our Christmas celebration in Edinburgh or Glasgow. This year we had a lovely lunch with careful and efficient service. It made for a super ''meetup" The food was just right, a glass of wine , a newsy chat and 2 friends wishing one another a happy festive season with our famulies.

This was our annual christmas sunday lunch. To date this has been the best lunch we have had in Glasgow. The age of my group range from 26 - 73yrs and there was something to suit everyone. There service from all the staff was fabulous and to a very high level.

Excellent, from arriving to leaving, staff very warm welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. H aging a designated table server was fantastice. After our meal we moved to the bar and again our table server reserved a table for us. She was very tall and beautiful ( we where 4 ladies celebrating a 60th birthday. Have dined in Browns before and will do again

Very average food at a premium price. 2nd try, there won't be a third.
