Close to the theatre, in the centre of a shopping hub, Browns Brasserie & Bar Brighton is housed in two separate buildings: one for the bar, one for the restaurant. Set in the city where Browns opened its first restaurant in 1973, the brasserie is mentioned and recommended by Bill Bryson in his book, ‘Notes from a Small Island’.
Spanning from breakfast through to lunch and dinner, the Browns menu offers all-day brasserie dining. Indulgent plats du jour and Sunday roasts are staple favourites, while sumptuous flavours include roasted lamb with potatoes & minted peas, Browns’ signature fish pie, and decadent salted caramel profiteroles. A sophisticated children’s menu at Browns offers tempting favourites with a grown-up twist.
Showcasing a penchant for cocktails, the Browns bar offers an array of classic mixes, signature concoctions and thirst-quenching mocktails, as well as fine world wines, and smoothies. Enjoy Browns’ afternoon tea and cake accompanied freshly-roasted coffee from an independent supplier, or a warming pot of loose leaf tea.
Browns Brasserie & Bar Brighton is just a 10-minute walk from Brighton Rail Station.

Very tasty food, good location, friendly staff. Tables are nicely spaced so you're not sitting on top of other diners.

Ambience, service and discretion was excellent! As was the fillet steak, the portobello mushrooms and the last fish pie! Thank you for a great birthday meal.

The January Set menu was limited but adequate was for us. But for £14.95 per person excluding drinks , we did expect this. The food we ordered was good, my husband had the soup followed by a burger and I had devilled mushrooms followed by prawn & crab linguine . We were both too full for a pud! Service was good but waitress kept calling us darlings which did annoy my husband . We left a tip and waitress said "is that for me , oh good, cash is good, it really helps" ! ?? overall though, we had a pleasant enough evening and I would go back but most likely just for a lunch with the girls.

I had booked for afternoon tea but upon arrival it was extremely busy. Queue of people waiting to be seated I managed to get to the front as I had pre booked we was seated at a lovely table but my pre booked afternoon tea had been completely overlooked so we ended up ordering from the main menu. Which I must say was absolutely lovely.
