Close to the River Avon, right in the centre of the city, Browns Brasserie & Bar – Bath serves delicious dishes and colourful cocktails in a lively, friendly atmosphere. Housed in a building which was previously a magistrates’ court and a police station, it boasts entrance doors large enough for a horse-drawn carriage, and a mezzanine floor with gorgeous city views.

Spanning from breakfast through to lunch and dinner, the Browns menu offers all-day brasserie dining. Indulgent plats du jour and Sunday roasts are staple favourites, while sumptuous flavours include roasted lamb with potatoes & minted peas, Browns’ signature fish pie, and decadent salted caramel profiteroles. A sophisticated children’s menu at Browns offers tempting favourites with a grown-up twist.

Showcasing a penchant for cocktails, the Browns bar offers an array of classic mixes, signature concoctions and thirst-quenching mocktails, as well as fine world wines, and smoothies. Enjoy Browns’ afternoon tea and cake accompanied freshly-roasted coffee from an independent supplier, or a warming pot of loose leaf tea.

Browns Brasserie & Bar Bath is just a 9-minute walk from Bath Spa Rail Station.

An ok experience not as good as other Browns I have visited. A quite Sunday evening, service was slow, hot mulled wine was cold and not good. Having said that the food was quite good. Looked like a little short on staff.

Interior is tired and not very appealing, food quality and presentation is pretty average and more in line with a pub but with excellent views

Afternoon tea was superb. A great selection. The waiting staff were friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this establishment to anyone who wants a great dining experience.

We booked for 5pm but arrived at 4pm and were delighted to be told there was no problem and that we could sit outside which is what we wanted to do as it was a very hot day. Showed confirmation of booking on arrival which specified the "deal" which we had taken up. Service was not the most efficient we have had but the staff were very pleasant. There was a real nonsense over the bill which was produced without any reference at all to the Meal Deal we had taken up. Bill returned for correction; long wait. Another incorrect bill was then produced but by that time we had lost patience and paid it despite the fact that we knew we were still being overcharged byt £3-00 to £4-00. Also, a seeming reluctance to clear tables once Customers had left so we were surrounded, to some extent, by uncleared Tables. All abit disappointing and annoying and not what we had hoped for as we have frequented Brown's Restaurants on and off for more than 50 years.
