Nice restaurant, good quality food, friendly service, limited menu and quite expensive

really nice ambience. we sat on the balcony. the staff were very attentive and, most important, we felt it was safe and hygenic.

A pretty good lunch but a somewhat restricted menu due no doubt to this being the first Sunday lunch since lock-down.

we had a cream tea on Sunday afternoon, we considered it was very good value for money. It was very disappointing that there were no other guests but hopefully things will improve for you if the virus situation improves

Pleasant location, good staff. Food is of good quality, but very expensive especially as most meals need added sides. Food choice is rather limited (for some people more than others). I would prefer to give my own tip rather than the discretionary 10%

overall very pleasant, and would go back again,

Very overpriced. Good service. Restaurant was very cold and devoid of ambience. Food was nicely cooked but steak sauces (etc) were not on menu. Bernaise was the default. Very disappointed with with whole experience. This restaurant is just suited to hotel/conference delegates rather than an intimate venue to enjoy a romantic meal.

Delicious Sunday lunch. We had the 2 course set menu. The range of starters to choose from at the hor d'ouvres bar was fantastic and everything looked fresh. The roast was very good. Between the 4 of us we had chicken - lovely & juicy, pork, beef and salmon. All were very tasty and there was an excellent range of vegetables to share - cauliflower cheese, red cabbage, carrots, peas, parsnips, roast potatoes and yorkshire pudding! ... and all perfectly cooked. The service was also very good - all the girls were very friendly - just the right amount of attentive.. and added to making a very good experience. Overall excellent! Thank you to all the kitchen and waiting staff.

The staff were attentive but not over the top! Food was amazing, onion rings a must with steak. The restaurant has some lovely features including prints, you’d make a fortune if you sold copies?!
