Restaurant description

Offering the finest quality hearty British cuisine, Squires Restaurant at Bridgewood Manor serves award-winning dishes using seasonal and local produce. Outdoor seating is offered for al fresco dining, surrounded by luscious plants.

A buffet-style kitchen is featured in the Squires dining area, where you can feast on succulent hand pressed burgers. The Squires menu sees award-winning courses including Tom’s steak (exclusively sourced from native British steers and heifers) and ale pie as well as chicken, ham hock and leek pie all cooked with the utmost passion.

Alternative to the gutsy grilled meats, a more delicate offering is a quintessentially British and elegant afternoon tea made of the finest ingredients. Puddings consist of raspberry & almond bakewell and roasted pineapple with crushed meringue & mango mousse.

In Bridgewood Manor, Squires in Chatham is a 5-minute drive from fun-filled Buckmore Park Kart Circuit and a 6-minute drive from the serene Bluebell Hill picnic site.

Restaurant was somewhat colourless and lacking warmth, however the service was very good and the food was excellent. Portions were large without sacrificing quality. In particular, one of the starters we had (sea food goujons and whitebait) was to share between 2, but it would have been enough for 4. Nonetheless delicious. House wine was of a good standard. Breakfast was extensive and met all requirements.
