Our dining experience was excellent, from the moment we arrived to us leaving it was very enjoyable. the staff were very attentive, food was of a high standard.

We had an excellent lunch on 1 November. Arriving in time for a pre-lunch drink, in the small but extremely well stocked bar, we found the staff welcoming and knowledgeable. Service was top grade throughout. We had three menus to choose from, but we were both delighted with the offerings on the lunch menu (which was very good value). The goat's cheese salad starter was very tasty, and the beef madallions mains were cooked to perfection. Our choice of wine from the extensive available range was a pinot noir, which complemented our meal well The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and comfortable.

The food quality was excellent throughout. I have a seafood intolerance so when the amuse bouche arrived and it was Salmon I simply declined it. The waiter (who was also excellent throughout) shot off and came back very quickly with a delicious ham bonbon (it was a really nice gesture). We started with Kir Royals which were very good and the wine was (in my opinion) excellent value. Starters were all well received both in terms of quality and quantity. Similarly the main courses were superb with the blue cheese which accompanied the sirloin actually in danger of upstaging the beautifully cooked beef. Puddings were delighted over with the rice pudding bonbon worthy of note especially as the person who ordered it (whilst being a coconut fan) does not like rice pudding ordinarily but loved this.
On the downside the ambience may benefit from a little development.
Overall it was an excellent experience from start to finish and we left very happy.
