Dinner 19/08/17. Good welcome, nice quiet table. Very nice surroundings. Good menus after choosing took a while for the wine to arrive and took a while for the bread to arrive. Service seems rather slow. Amuse bouche was tasty. Too long for starter to arrive although scallops and sweatbreads were outstanding. Main courses of steak and monkfish also outstanding. More waiting before order being taken for sweets and for them to arrive. Cheese board and chocolate mousse both nice, we asked for an explanation of the cheeses the waitress said she would get someone unfortunately we are still waiting for the description of these cheeses. Ordered coffee and asked for warm milk for the americano twice! we are still waiting for the milk. Outstanding dining experience let down by slow service and attention to detail.

Haven't been for a long time. Greeted as soon as arrived & shown to table. Staff excellent, very pleasant. Able to discourse on wine choice. Food excellent. Last in the restaurant & not put under any pressure to leave. Overall not cheap but worth the money.

We had the celebration menu with accompanying wines and it was absolutely sensational. The wines were all excellent and the food was out of this world. Meeting the man himself at the end of service was an added treat. I really can't recommend Le Chardon d'Or enough.
