Apart from my Lamb Shank being very fatty and gristly it was an enjoyable experience. We have dined here before and all was good.

After a wait of a minute or so and being ignored by a number of staff as they wandering past, we were eventually greeted at the booking in lecturn and following confirmation that we were `on the list`, we were shown to our tables.

There was no sign of a smile or anything resembling a warm greeting to a paying customer and also no comment about having to order the food and drinks at the bar area until, following a ten minute lapse, I approached a member of staff to inform them that I was ready to order at which point I was then told about the ordering arrangement and duly went to the bar with menu in hand.

The young man behind the bar seemed extremely casual and unprofessional about it and continued to fiddle about some glasses he had in front of him until he`d finished doing what he wanted and only then suggested that we `Go for it` ... as in, give him the order. As there was a till at the bar counter, it was obvious that money was required before the meal and was duly forthcoming although I can`t think of many places where customers pay before their food but if that`s your system, then so be it.

Throughout the time at the restaurant, staff were wandering up and down taking food to the few tables that were occupied but all of them looked as though it was either their first day on the job, or perhaps their last day but certainly nothing like the standard I`d expect from a recognized outlet such as yourselves.

In contrast to the distinct lack of service and /or friendly rapport, the food itself was very good and apart from a couple of items being very slightly over-cooked, it bordered on being excellent and so finding a balance, I gave it an overall rating of 3 stars.

Brief conclusion: The food was very good but if you don`t like miserable looking staff that offer at best a dis-jointed service, then look elsewhere.

Lovely evening spent with the family as part of my graduation celebrations. Service was spot on ~ Polite, expedient and not too fussy, just right! Cleanliness and attention to detail were duly noted. I will definitely recommend this establishment to my friends. Thank you :D
