Restaurant description

Set in a stunning 13th-century hotel and country club, Cast Iron Bar & Grill delivers specialises in steak and grill classics.

Championing the finest seasonal ingredients, the Cast Iron Grill menu blends classic flavour combinations with tried-and-tested cooking methods, with a range spanning from lighter bites, to hearty mains. Trusty favourites include the signature hand-pressed burger, while globe-trotting recipes include the Odeiga-spiced chicken hoagie, and charred cauliflower tabbouleh.

Juicy, 28-day-aged cuts of premium British beef lead the impressive range of steaks and grills, and Cast Iron’s toffee & ginger skillet pudding offers an indulgent conclusion. Hand-picked wines are sourced from across the globe, and a list of heady cocktails includes mixes like the Old Cuban, and a pink-hued G&T.

Lovely Staff, manager went out his way to create a large table for us Very Slow service and a lot of confusion from the waitresses Great Starter and dessert but the food just took a long time and we were there for 2 hours we were the only people in there after the starters first bill was wrong items added and not taken off and had to be amended twice Not a great experience but cant fault the polite attitude of all the staff

It was an awful experience the service was so slow. We had a table booked for 7 30 and left table at 9 30 only having one course.

Booked a surprise afternoon tea for two for my friend and I. Found the whole experience fabulous. The setting, the views were amazing and would love to come again and hopefully enjoy the same experience out on the patio, as the weather was against us on this occasion. So many thanks Breadsall Priory for a lovely time and successful birthday surprise!

Booked full afternoon tea for a special occasion finger sandwiches very boring 1 and 1/2 pieces of very see through cucumber, 4 fingers persons, assortment of cakes very dry and plain, but the scones were something else, completely raw in the middle, so unfortunately I had to complain, the whole tea was whipped away, and a profuse apology made. and said no charge would be made, we sat wondering what to do, as we were hungry and disappointed, but the whole tea was replaced, with 2 more scones, but this time they were burn't and rock hard, and completely uneatable, once again a profuse apology and as we were staying at the hotel, we were offered a free drink from the bar not a good experience, felt very sorry for the young waiter
