Disappointed underwhelming food. Service was friendly and attentive but wouldn’t go back.

Welcome was good and service was attentive without being intrusive. Wines were very good indeed. We had the 2 courses for £19.50 offer, and the choice of 2 starter were fine and my Normandy onion soup was excellent, but one of the three main dishes (the chicken) wasn't available leaving only salmon and a fortunately delicious risotto to chose from. Toilets are a long way down and visits need planning ahead!!

My expectation was high and the Beetroot & goat’s cheese salad with red pepper vinaigrette Starter was excellent. I miss understood the menu and the concept of Iced raspberry soufflé. This was entirely my fault but we were kindly reimbursed. The staff were attentive polite and friendly service was excellent. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. Thank you for a lovely evening we will be back.
