We all had a great time and lovely meal.
The restaurant had gone to the trouble of putting confetti to decorate the table,as I had booked saying
it was for my daughters engagement.

Opening out onto the sands of Cooden Beach, Brasserie On The Beach champions local produce and freshly-caught seafood to deliver a contemporary dining experience with coastal views.
The seasonal menu at Brasserie On The Beach changes every February, June and October. Succulent Sunday roasts are also not to be missed, with tender roast beef and vegetarian nut roast always available.
On warm days the Brasserie’s glass walls will fold back so you can breathe in the fresh sea air. For the colder days, sit in the warm and admire the view from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The bar is open for pre and post-dining drinks, with the Gin Palace serving 18 artisan gins and a range of specialist tonics.
Cooden Beach Train Station is just a minute’s walk from the restaurant, with Cooden Beach Golf Club a further 5-minute walk away. The Brasserie on the Beach is under a 10-minute drive from Bexhill-on-Sea and around 25 minutes from Eastbourne.

The afternoon tea was very tasty and the Chenin blanc white was very good. Ask the gin palace is really great and offers some delicious gin combos.
The restaurant furnishings were plush and comfortable but the carpets dated the hotel. Unfortunately the service was not great. Most of the staff members were polite enough but some of them need training in the products they were
selling and some just clearly didn’t want to be there. It’s a shame as it was a lovely day and the food was delicious, but we have been involved in hospitality for many years and I think you’re only as good as your staff. The manager was friendly but some of the bar staff were quite rude and one man didn’t have a clue what he was serving and couldn’t answer any of our queries.
I would put any spare finances into staff training and new carpets. Lovely day though and not running anything down, hopefully just constructive criticism.

Lovely surroundings. Table that we booked was ready on time and was readily changed because of a draft. Waiting staff were attentive, polite and welcoming. Food was very good (especially the cod). Overall a very enjoyable lunch time experience.

This was my birthday lunch date with my eldest son, his wife and my daughter. The whole experience was fabulous and I had an amazing birthday lunch.

Nice atmosphere and service but food not exactly what was anticipated. Garlic potatoes were rubbery and bread crumbed chicken escalope was dry and bland, and no gravy was offered with eh meal. Starter and dessert otherwise were good, and would return as nice menu choices.

This is by far the very best dining experience in Bexhill / Cooden the staff are amazing. The food is delightful and so fresh... Every request is catered for, everyone is a pleasure to meet, from cleaning staff to Waiters and waitresses... reception and guests... always a parking place (a rarity in Cooden) and no matter how many times I have visited over the years I always see the owner who is delightful and seems to really care about his staff and his customers. The “New” beach area was just wonderful, having just returned from Jamaica, I could easily of been back there - better food at Cooden though ! A credit to Cooden, this is a hidden Gem.... not overly expensive, it should be as it’s exquisite............. You ABSOLUTELY will be delighted with every aspect of this amazing place.

Booking a table via the website is quick. The decor in the Brasserie on the Beach at the Cooden Hotel is very good and the staff are excellent in their pleasant and professional approach to diners. However the food on the occasion we attended was very disappointing with one meal having to be left due to the very poor quality which meant the food could not be eaten. We were given a refund for the dish ordered and we will try the restaurant again to see if this was a "one off" but if you require a meal for that special occasion I would seek another venue at the moment.
