Brasserie Joël is a celebrated French fine-dining brasserie in London. Awarded 2 AA Rosettes for culinary excellence, the restaurant secured a 9/10 from discerning food critic Giles Coren.

The Brasserie Joël menu, like the bustling South Bank around it, changes daily. Perfectly balanced dishes such as lobster bisque and dry-aged beef tournedos rossini are created using the finest seasonal ingredients available. A charcoal grill is used to cook tender fish and dry-aged meat, while specials often include unusual recipes such as piglet shoulder and sardines tempura.

The Brasserie Joël restaurant boasts a stunning dark interior, with a touch of French colour in the red and white table trimmings and potted plants. Enjoy a Sunday roast to share, with suckling pork and chargrilled seabass taking centre-stage.

Brasserie Joël restaurant is in the Park Plaza on Westminster Bridge, near the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, National Theatre and Royal Festival Hall.

Nice ambience but average fare. Not sure whether the food reflected the fact that we had booked the £25 set menu deal, but it was pretty average. Starter of Asparagus & salad was just that - no dressing, no taste. Main course of beef was tastier, and dessert was ok. Wouldn't rush back.

Good hotel restaurant but environment not great because of this. Great service and food on special menu good portion size and taste, although shame that the plaice had not been filleted fully

The set menu had good choices, 4 for each course. Nice food.

Food was mediocre and the restaurant had no atmosphere what so ever, the poor waiters where rushed of there feet so it was a matter of serve food and go. I would not return

Do not waste your money at this restaurant. Very poor experience.

Starters were disappointing. I asked for the mackerel and beet root salad and was told there was no mackerel- only beet root. The main course was not much better- we were told there was no plaice - sea bream instead. For desert my friend wanted the creme Catalan and was told it had run out, only to see someone on the non meal deal receive it after us. My chocolate cake with lemon grass ice ream was more of a flat brownie. Would not go back and would not recommend .

My main course (Gilt Head) was phenomenal.
