Named after the architect of the Eiffel Tower, Brasserie Gustave in Chelsea oozes continental chic, and serves up exceptional French cuisine. A fresh take on the traditional Parisian brasserie, the seasonal menus showcase classic dishes from the length and breadth of France.

Classic starters on the Brasserie Gustave menu include pan-fried scallops in Madeira truffle jus, goats’ cheese soufflé with a honey and pine nut dressing, and the quintessential snails in garlic and parsley butter. For mains, try roasted duck breast glazed with orange, Dover sole meunière, or the flavour-rich pearl barley risotto with asparagus, white spring truffle and wild garlic.

Desserts are both traditional and indulgent, with the likes of tarte tatin and a French cheese board on offer. Simple but stylish, the dining room sees the warm yellow walls add a splash of colour to the wooden flooring and plush red leather seating.

Showcasing a classic wine list to match the menus, Brasserie Gustave London offers laid-back Gallic charm and expertly crafted dishes. In the heart of upmarket Chelsea, South Kensington Tube Station is a 5-minute walk away.

The food was overall amazing - the stake tartar is prepared in front of you and you can taste it until it's to your liking. For desert we shared crepe suzette (also prepared at your table) and creme brûlée both was extraordinarily tasty?? service was very attentive - overall a fantastic experience. I dine out quite often and rarely leave comments- but this restaurant definitely deserves it. Please note - it is not cheap but I believe the price compared to other restaurants in London justified.

We really enjoyed our time there. The menu has plenty of quality French plates. We eventually ordered the Lobster Tasting Menu. Delicious!!! The wine list is full of very good French wines and a couple of international ones. The service was very good and friendly. We will come back!
