Brasserie Forty 4 is quite simply the best restaurant in Leeds. Others come and go, but Steve and his team consistently provide great food with superb service. We always are made to feel special whenever we visit.

Lovely setting, friendly staff and food was delicious. I had smoked venison to start and lamb rump for the main. Both very interesting, beautifully cooked plates of food. Would recommend!

Another great meal. The prawn starter on the specials menu was fabulous and everyone who had it really enjoyed it. The ham hock terrine and the duck terrine were also very good. The halibut was perfect but would have preferred it with less butter but would ask for it like that next time. Side dishes were also good. The sticky ginger pudding was first class and heaps better than the normal sticky toffee pudding. Chocolate brownie was also top notch. Can’t wait to go back.

Superb evening - felt very welcome, great menu choice, well-cooked and nicely presented food, reasonably priced wine which complemented meal. All staff were very friendly and attentive. We were given a well located table by the window so we had a great view of the riverfront.

We had a fantastic experience at Brasserie 44 - lovely food and very friendly staff. A nice atmosphere to have a long awaited catch up with friends. Couldn't fault it - the four of us had different dishes and all were enjoyed.

The food was excellemt no doubt about it and I know you want to be a fine dining restaurant which you are and do it very well, the problem I had was the fact that the dishes weren’t fulfilled for me like the steak was served with a field mushroom and peppercorn sauce, so you have to buy extras? Which are three pound a pot when you have already spent twenty pound on a main course this isn’t so much of a complaint but I see it as just out chips with it and I wouldn’t mind paying 22 pound for that? Same with the other dishes maybe it’s just me but the experience was thoroughly enjoyable and we will be definitely visiting again.
