Surrounded by the rambling Norfolk greenery, the Brasserie at Barnham Broom is a cosy countryside retreat with an award-winning menu. Sourcing all seasonal produce locally, the intimate dining area benefits from floor-to-ceiling windows, while the summer terrace offers sensational views of the grounds: perfect for al fresco dining.

With a focus placed on local produce, the Brasserie at Barnham Broom menu serves up contemporary British cuisine, such as shin of beef with heritage purple carrot and slow-roasted onion, and Magret duck breast, with chicken liver pate and mash potato. The Norfolk mixed grill includes weighty slabs of meat including honey-roasted rump of lamb, Anglais steak, sweet-cured gammon and chorizo sausage: a menu favourite for carnivores, no doubt.

Indulgent desserts include red wine poached pear with yoghurt sorbet, and Norfolk treacle tart with bay ice cream. A great selection of local ales, fragrant cocktails and delicious wines complement the menu.

Wholesome British cuisine with lush scenic views, Brasserie at Barnham Broom in Norfolk is 15 minutes’ drive from Wymondham train station.

A good Sunday lunch with five different vegetables which I always look for. Beef was quite challenging as it was 'chewy' rather than melt in the mouth. My husband enjoyed his pork though. Very friendly service from all staff. Found the price of the desserts to be quite expensive. Sorry to find that for our 1 p.m. booking we were the only two people in the bistro until a further five arrived 30 minutes later.

Food was fine. However, I am allergic to anything to do with a cow. We told the restaurant when we booked, talked about it to the front of House when we arrived and also told the waitress when ordering. I was amazed and very disappointed to see my main course (chicken) arrive with a Yorkshire pudding (made from milk) and beef gravy. It was replaced but either your staff do not talk to one another or you have little concern for people with food allergies. Eating cow products causes me serious illness, this not a food preference.

Unfortunately the quality was not what I have come to expect from barnham broom. The sandwiches were dry, the scones like rock and the service not at it's usual standard

We dine often, almost every week...we love the service, atmosphere and surroundings, the dishes are quality, very good and usually reasonably priced! Although I do find that not showing the costs on the menu's annoying as can be quite a surprise especially when the deals are not on and a first course of £12.00 just for one turns up on the bill! Also no fresh warm bread rolls lately! Apart from that we love it!

staff excellent. relaxing surroundings. food fresh and presented well.
maybe a local sourced meat, sausage roll to accompany would be great too.

We had afternoon tea in the lounge, a table was reserved for us and nicely set up and it wasnt too busy or noisy, and nice and bright with lots of windows were you could see out on to the golf course. The staff member was on hand most of the time and very pleasant, helpful and friendly. Had taken notice of our special requests in the booking which was very good, and the food looked lovely and was very tasty, plenty on offer to drink and wasn't rushed at all.
