A relaxed all-day brasserie in one of the city's most exclusive hotels, Brasserie Abode Manchester showcases brunch favourites, classic dishes and cocktails in a Grade II-listed former textile factory.

The all-day Abode Brasserie menu features timeless classics, whilst Sunday lunch is overflowing with trimmings. For brunch, try the crushed avocado and poached egg on sourdough, stay for a lunch of garlic crevettes and fries, or savour oysters and cocktails for dinner.

Served in the bar, the afternoon tea offering at Abode includes a selection of scones, clotted cream, strawberry jam, savouries, sandwiches and pastries, served with a choice of teas or coffees.

Just 3 minutes' walk from Manchester Piccadilly Rail Station and 5 minutes from Piccadilly Gardens, ABode Manchester is a popular destination for dining in this lively area of the city.

A fabulous lunch with very attentive staff

We had the Chateaubriand, fries & a bottle of Malbec £49 for 2, excellent, the starter was delicious as was the dessert, sticky toffee pudding. The seating arrangement is done nicely, the decor brings out the classic touch and my waitress was very pleasant and made us feel very comfortable, very knowledgable and answered all our questions.

We were 4 adults celebrating 2 birthdays. From the minute we arrived to when we left, the service and food were faultless. We chose the Caesar Salads and Eggs Florentine for starters. These were actually enough for lunchtime. However, we stuck with it and ordered the Fish Pie, Mussels and Truffle Pasta. The fish pie was to die for. I didn't try the others, but my friends were equally complimentary about their meals. Cannot fault our visit, would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Excellent food and wine. It should have been a lunch with a girl friend but she was unable to travel because of the weather and my husband gallantly offered to accompany me!

We came for the steak and chips offer but decided upon the prix fixe menu instead as it had a Sunday roast, looked good and it was £16 for 3 courses which was a steal. The food was good enough (for what you pay for - it's no Hawksmoor but you're not paying Hawksmoor prices) but the service was really quite awful. It wasn't even particularly busy. We were sat near the waiters' station (I don't know what it's called, but where they stand around and have the menus) but were totally overlooked when we wanted to order another drink to have with our main. We also asked for a bottle of water for the table at the beginning but that never appeared. Even asking for the bill was a challenge. No one asked us how our meal was; if they did we would've ordered this sodding drink but the only person who seemed to loiter around on the floor was the maitre d' who was more concerned with swanning around and chatting with the barman (the waiters only seemed to emerge to hand out food but then went back into the kitchen).
What I did like about this place was the DJ; although at lunchtime on a Sunday, she played some super awesome and funky tunes, music you wouldn't expect having a roast dinner to! She was brilliant.
Wouldn't recommend unless you're incredibly patient.
