Food was comparable to the Harvester and the place is generally looking very tired.

We arrived on time and surprisingly for a Bank Holiday the restaurant was almost empty. After an hour of waiting between our starters and mains we saw the reason why .... diners simply lose the will to live. I noticed we were not the only ones complaining.

Admittedly the manager couldn’t apologise enough and he took the drinks off our bill which was as appropriated but we would have preferred a more enjoyable dining experience.

Disappointed this time, waitresses gave poor service, wine spilled whilst poring and just left, for us to clear up, twice showed what we wanted in the mini deserts even pointing it out on the menu still didn't get it right, realise was inexperienced but these are just two things that fell way below the standard expected , and pervious experiences

Lovely location and lovely food but a bit slow service.
We got our meal but by the time we had got our cutlery it was cold, when we had finished we must have sat for nearly an hour with out dirty plates before they were cleared. Bar staff upstairs were good. It was the waiting staff who were poor

Food was very good and a nice level of service, enough attention without feeling pestered.

The food was excellent - the hake especially. We had a great table for 4 by the window with an amazing view of the river. Looking forward to the new menu and maybe the return of some tapas dishes and moules marinieres etc. Service was great although they obviously needed more staff but we wanted a leisurely meal so not a problem at all.

Food tasted great however portions were quite small and we were still hungry after paying £40 per head (with wine)

We had booked to have lunch in the restaurant but on arrival changed to the Terrace as it was such a nice day. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and food very good. It has been a couple of years since I've been to Boulters and the food, staff and ambience has much improved since then. Would certainly go again
