In a quaint setting 50 yards from the Piazza, Boulevard Brasserie Covent Garden offers uncomplicated French cuisine in an intimate setting. Set over 3 floors with bistro-style decor, there’s also a chic wine bar housed in the cosy basement.

A welcome retreat from the activity of Covent Garden, Boulevard Brasserie London offers simple cooking, using well-sourced ingredients. From the a la carte menu, there are classics like baked brie and cranberry pastry, rocket and Roquefort risotto, and boeuf bourguignon.

Boulevard Brasserie offers a range of delicious French wines and champagne to perfectly complement the wide range of dishes. For those left wanting more, the dessert menu’s tantalising flavours range from lemon and ginger cheesecake to chocolate tart with Cointreau mousse.

Bringing simple French favourites to the heart of London Covent Garden’s Boulevard Brasserie is next to the Theatre Royal, and Covent Garden Tube Station is just a 4-minute walk away.

Very easy booking service which was likewise reflected in the table service on the day. The food was well presented and had good flavour; the carrot cake was particularly tasty.

Food good - particularly starter and main. Service a little slow and waitress rude when we politely asked the whereabouts of our desserts after 25 min of waiting. She retorted that it wasn't her fault and that she'd sent the order to the kitchen ages ago. We said that we had theatre booked and could she let us know when the desserts would arrive. The manager came to apologise and offered us complimentary coffee but we had no time to drink it as we would be late for our show. We said that it was the poor attitude of the waitress that upset us. Desserts eventually arrived just before 7pm (our show started at 7.30) almost half an hour after the waitress had given us our spoons, and it was obvious they had been sitting on the pass as the cream in the carrot cake was melting and we had to eat them quickly in order not to miss the start of our show. I ended up leaving some of mine as no time to eat it. Waitress returned with the bill and thrust the card machine at me without a word. I refused to pay the service charge which wasn't well received by her.

The food was fantastic and the service was superb. I will be returning. We really enjoyed our bottomless afternoon tea and the staff were very attentive and even made a fuss of my friend for her birthday. Overall a lovely experience at Boulevard Brasserie.
