A relaxed and stylish eatery inside the Hilton Cambridge City Centre, Bull & Bass Restaurant treats diners to modern British dishes made with the freshest ingredients. Traditional afternoon teas are a popular choice, with the plush furnishings making this an ideal spot for leisurely meals.

Using local produce wherever possible, the Bull & Bass menu is built on great British seasonal and sustainable ingredients with a focus on “surf n’ turf” pairings. Great meats and seafood from the grill and their modern take on some classic dishes are all paired with an amazing wine selection.

Afternoon teas are served in their Bar & Lounge with finger sandwiches, fresh scones with jam and clotted cream, as well as loose leaf teas and even prosecco.

Cambridge Rail Station is 7 minutes' drive away.

It is a very quiet restaurant.
The food was very good and tasty, we shared 4 starters, portion were big so after it we went directly for the desserts.
The waiters are friendly, it is actually a shame to see this place a bit too empty!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon tea. The lounge-style venue was very comfortable, and our table was set up and reserved for us on arrival. The food was delicious: tasty selection of sandwiches, fresh scones still warm from baking, and a delicious array of cakes. We couldn't decide which was our favourite! Staff were very polite and our nominated staff member was attentive but not intrusive, she seems to know when to appear to offer to replenish our tea without constantly walking past our table.

The restaurant was lovely and very clean and we were pleased when we arrived. A nice lady showed us to our table we all ordered our drinks which came nice and quickly. We then asked for our afternoon tea which we waited a long time for. When it arrived they couldn't tell us what was in every sandwich/cake. We had run out of tea so asked for some more which never came, we asked a couple of different members of staff I then went up and asked and got them and more milk too. When we arrived the lady said just ask for more of anything, which we did and it took about 45mins just to bring out a few more cucumber sandwiches.
The service was poor and we even went up to pay at the end where no one came to our table to even ask if everything was ok.
The food was nice, and the staff were pleasant when we did see them.

Lovely afternoon tea with an excellent selection. Would have been nice if someone could have gone through what was in each different thing but overall a great afternoon tea.

The afternoon tea was for my husbands birthday. Wonderful selection of savoury and sweet snacks and the chef did a special plate of cheesecake and fruit beautifully decorated for his birthday. Would recommend to others. Staff were attentive but not always standing at your shoulder and polite. Lovely afternoon.

Took a friend for afternoon tea as a birthday treat. Staff were courteous, reserved table in a lovely position to people watch whilst we chatted and the afternoon tea was excellent value for money.

First time having afternoon tea at the Hilton hotel in Cambridge. The tea was very tasty and the food was amazing, down to the lovely smoked salmon sandwiches, to the crispy macaroons.

The Hilton hotel itself was an amazing place to have afternoon tea as the atmosphere and service was amazing.

Would definitely recommend to a friend.
