DIned at 8pm using a groupon voucher for steak and lobster platers to share between two people. The waiter advised us on how to use the voucher but told us that each one of us could choose a steak and sauce of our choice. he took the order for each type of steak and sauce plus each sauce for the lobster but when the food arrived, we only got 1 sauce on each platter and 1 very small fillet steak between two of us. My partner is over 6 fott and was starving. We orcered chinky chips and spinach @ [$] each but this was also very small - the spinache looked ike they had run out and just put the last couple of leaves in a small dish with some cream. Saying that, what we had was very tasty and enjoyeable indicated by the licked plates at the end of the meal. On our way back from Manchetser to Blackpool, we had to stop off to grab some pudding from Macdonalds!

Arrived 5.45 pm for a 6pm sitting, advised to take a seat, we had to remind staff we were still waiting for a table half an hour later. No choice in tables for groups, caters more for couples inside. Food was only warm, salad had seen better days, ordered medium rare steak received overdone service was polite but inefficient , lacked management....not much of an atmosphere

We ordered a bottle of cider and two chicken teriyaki sandwiches. One came with the wrong bread and had cheese on it which we did not ask for. Moreover, that wrong bread of one of our sandwiches felt stale and I could hardly cut it with the knife. Ok, it was toasted, but toasting bread should not make it impossible to cut, should it? Nonetheless, both of our sandwiches were missing sauce that was listed on the menu as one of the ingredients. Finally, the glasses that were brought for the cider were dirty, fingerprints were all over them. When my boyfriend asked them to change the glasses, mine still came with loads of visible fingerprints. I didn't complain, because I did not want to upset my boyfriend who was already fuming. I just used a straw. The only good thing about the meal were the chips, they were more like French fries and tasted very good. However, we are definitely not coming back again, neither are our friends, because their order was wrong too.

The food was good although the service was a little haphazard. We asked for ketchup and mayonaise which came in a dish with no spoons to serve it.

An average meal. I would have been unhappy had I paid the full price for the meal (we had a discount voucher. The "bubbly" was not champagne but astispumante

We ate early evening using a Groupon voucher deal. There had been very heavy rainfall the day we went and upon arrival found the bar area had its very own water feature with buckets and the bar maid trying her best to mop up. We were shown to our table and requested a wine menu, to which we were told one wasn't available as it was being retyped but if we told them what kind of wine we liked they would bring some bottles over to chose from. We asked for a Sauvignon blanc which they brought over in a wine bucket filled with water rather than ice so every time we poured water dripped everywhere. We went on to order the crab cakes and cajun tiger prawns for starters, which were only very average. We had the lobster & fillet steak platter for two as part of the deal and ordered three side dishes. The mains arrived but the steak was overcooked having asked for it to be done medium, one of the side dishes was wrong and we had to wait for the correct one to arrive but looking around the other tables this seemed to be a regular theme. Having said that, apart from the overcooked steak the mains were nice, but I wouldn't have paid the full menu price for what we had. We decided to share a dessert and went for the sticky toffee pudding which again was only average and just looked like a slice from a supermarket tray rather than one which was restaurant made. This may sound trivial to some people but we just expected more. The bar and restaurant is very nice and the location is great and I'm sure on a lovely summers evening it would be lovely sitting outside but it was really just the level of service and mediocre starters that made the whole experience disappointing and subsequently would not recommend or dine there again but we would most definitely go there for drinks.
