Lovely friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. Food was lovely. I had the lamb stew which was just what I needed on a cold wet day.

A modern bistro space at the Penrhyn Quarry Zip World, Blondin Restaurant boasts acclaimed North Wales Bryn Williams at the helm, serving up traditional Welsh flavours. Diners can sit at the outdoor terrace with views across the famous slate mine, with the fastest zip wire in the world running just metres overhead.

The Blondin Restaurant menu celebrates traditional Welsh recipes, using seasonal produce sourced from around the countryside and the coast. In the mornings, there are breakfasts of natural yogurt with granola and Welsh honey, as well as a hearty full English which includes juicy Welsh bacon. Later in the day, tuck into the signature Welsh beef burger, or try steamed Conwy mussels with white wine, garlic and herb cream sauce.

A children's menu is also served at Blondin Restaurant in Bangor, making this a versatile spit for families. For pudding, there are treats like baked Alaska for two, Môn ar Lwy ice cream, and the eclectic chocolate and beetroot brownie.

Serving gourmet Welsh recipes to thrill seeking visitors to Zip World, Blondin Restaurant is a 17-minute drive from Bangor.

After the thrill of Zip World, whether it’s Velocity or Quarry Carts, it was a sheer pleasure to sit in Blondins for a superb Sunday Lunch at a very reasonable price. Great attentive staff in a family friendly and dog friendly eatery. Sit out on the balcony watching other thrill seekers or inside to absorb the atmosphere - you can have an all round day out here.

The food and beer was absolutely gorgeous! As I’m veggie I had med veg and pasta. Loved it! Alittle spicy but I loved that! Partner had pulled pork and he couldn’t finish it! We are big eaters so for him not to finish that’s big. Pudding I couldn’t wait for sticky toffee pudding was to die for! They get 5 stars and my own niggle was I thought we best book but got caught up with the wait due to weather for velocity 2 but found out by the time we got to restaurant no need to book when you get there about 6pm. Guessing it’s busier during the day?

After a 4 hour journey on the A5 stuck in traffic due to an accident and then behind a police escorted wide load, we arrived at 2:05pm (we had politely rang to inform the restaurant that we may be late) with 3 teenagers tired and hungry.
Even though we booked a table for 5 at 2pm, staff were unaware of this.
Our Velocity 2 zip wire experience was booked for 4pm, so we didn't need to present ourselves until 3:30pm.
We had booked the £15 meal deal and when we presented our booking reference number to order food, staff told us they couldn't accept it and that we had to go back downstairs and reguster to get coupons then come back upstairs to present them and order.
This was incredibly embarrassing as the restaurant was busy, we had patiently waited in line, then to be rejected while other customers were waiting to be served.
On a positive note, a female staff member of the Bloddin restaurant understood our predicament and went out of her way to write down our orders so that we didn't have to line up again and made an extra special effort to inform the chef of our daughter's allergy requirements and suggested sorbet instead of icecream for dessert.
Unfortunately, I did not find out the name of the staff member, she turned our negative experience into a positive one and we were made to feel welcome and that our custom was valued.
    Thank you.
The vege burgers and beef burgers were delicious. so were the chocolate brownies and sticky toffee puddings. All of our allergy needs for our daughter regarding lactose intolerence were met. Thank you.
Our male waiter gave excellent service.
    Thank you.

It wasnt what you could call a la carte, it was ok just thought it was going to be a bit more than a pub kind of place.

nothing special, more like a cafe than a restaurant, disappointing as I booked as there was no need as it was a case of grab a table that didn't still have dirty dishes on as none were reserved, not really how its made out to look in its photos (including food choice)

Reasonable prices and good sized portions. The mushroom burger was tasteful and filling. The coffee was fresh and of good quality.
