Food Network launches On Fire Festival – Celebrity Barbequing at its Fieriest!

On Fire Festival by Food Network

‘Tis the season for BBQ dining, and what better way to enjoy the great British summer than with some sizzling treats cooked up on a celebrity BBQ? London’s Covent Garden looks set to host the capital city’s first free BBQ marathon at the brand new On Fire Festival, hosted by Food Network.

To get the lowdown, we chatted to Jessica Stonehouse, Head of Partnerships & Marketing Events, who added: “Food Network On Fire is a brand new festival that allows our visitors to watch, learn and get involved in cooking with fire. And not only that, it’s a great opportunity for people to see their favourite Food Network chefs sizzle up a storm as they put their BBQ techniques to the test”. Intrigued? You should be!

Restaurateurs involved include El Cantara, Barbecoa and El Fuego Lento, and Food Network chefs Andy Bates, Jun Tanaka and Tristan Welch will be stepping up to the BBQ challenge. Cooking from BBQs, grills, spider burners and smokers, what chargrilled delights will be rustled up in front of your eyes? And not only that, the food festival also plays host to a range of exhibitors, including Dough & Co and The English Cheesecake Company, producing the best that street food has to offer!

And if you must leave room for dessert, look no further than the festival’s dedicated cupcake booth, where cake expert and country bumpkin Lotte Duncan will be honing your decorating skills to create perfect swirly frosting on those red velvets.

So get yourself along to the East Piazza of Covent Garden between August 17-19 and enjoy what is guaranteed to be the best BBQ food of the season. Fingers crossed for sunshine!
