Set inside this iconic British landmark, the Blackpool Tower Ballroom is a stunningly ornate venue to enjoy traditional afternoon teas. Popular shows like Strictly Come Dancing have been hosted here, and with its sparkling chandeliers, ceiling murals and the unique sprung dance floor, this is a dance lover's dream.

Afternoon teas on the Blackpool Tower Ballroom menu are filled with all the classic treats that make this a British institution. Delicate sandwiches come filled with simple, wholesome favours like smoked salmon and cream cheese, moving on to fresh scones with jam and clotted cream. There are freshly made cakes and pastries that come beautifully presented, including indulgent chocolate cupcakes and lemon drizzle cake.

Loose leaf teas at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom in Blackpool come served in fine bone china, and diners can add in glasses of champagne for an extra special treat.

A truly iconic setting for all ages, the Blackpool Tower Ballroom is set right beside the beach, and is a 12-minute walk from Blackpool North Rail Station.

Loved being in the Ballroom, very beautiful. Enjoyed watching the dancers. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The only thing that was disappointing was the sandwiches. The fillings weren't appetising and very plain fillings.

We booked to have afternoon tea at the Tower Ballroom, because we wanted to be able to soak up the atmosphere, watch the dancers, and enjoy a 'tea'. Well, you could just pay £8 each as opposed to £25 each, and buy your own drinks at the bar, and find a table (there were plenty available) to sit at and watch. So yes, it was lovely, but unneccessary to pay so much for an okay tea.

We had afternoon tea at the Tower Ballroom, it was wonderful. The service was efficient and friendly, the atmosphere was brilliiant. I have an intolerance to gluten and while booking my questions were answered immediatley, which was nice, when we arrived we were seated and looked after. The only thing and probably a big thing for any one who has allergies rather than intolrances, the gluten and non gluten food was put onto the same plates, causing cross contamination:

"For people with celiac disease, even just a microscopic amount of gluten can cause a reaction and damage to the intestines, such as a single bread crumb on a plate or speck of wheat flour on manufacturing equipment," says Rachel Begun, MS, RDN

Plus I wonder about cross contamination in the kitchen. I understand it is difficult but it is do-able.

    Overall it was wonderful :)
