My wife and I went for our wedding anniversary. We had a drink when we arrived which was bought to us. Friendly, efficient bar staff and when we were ready to eat they showed us to our table. The food was delicious, hot and well presented. We were not rushed and felt very relaxed. We will definitely be returning to eat at the Hotel du vin, but only on special occasions as it is quite expensive, but worth it.

HDV in Cheltenham is a lovely place. Our afternoon tea was set up in a cozy little corner, with the sun streaming through the window. The selection of treats on the tiered tray was great - sandwiches, warm savoury pastries and assorted mini cakes and sweet treats. We had the champagne option and the attentive waiter made sure our teapot was replenished when we were ready. Lovely experience - it was a treat for a friend's 50th and she loved it.

Really lovely afternoon, friendly service, yummy food and champagne. Also a fantastic selection of teas. Do ring in advance on the day to confirm you are coming as 'no-shows' are common.

Fantastic Chateaubriand meal in excellent surroundings! Will be back!

Very enjoyable experience for leisurely lunch with friends. There's a bit more space than in some restaurants and we had a partially disabled friend with us so that meant we weren't struggling between the tables or space to put equipment. the seating is also very comfortable. Good choice in every course and we particularly liked the slow cooked belly pork. NIce to have a wine waiter to recommend complementary wines We would definitely visit again.

What a let down for our anniversary celebration this was! The venue has lost the lustre & panache of its opening days (c8 years ago); HdV offers a pompously written highly priced French style menu but the front house and kitchen fail to deliver: slow service, ignorant or arrogant staff attitude Awful food (over or under cooked and 'swimming' in oil or sugar)

Service very good and the ambience excellent. Didn't expect a bottle of wine on the special deal - just thought we'd get a glass each so that was a nice Valentine treat. We had the same main course - the lamb which was sublime. Thank you.

Excellent food (surprisingly generous portion sizes) & we loved the décor and ambience of the bistro. Would definitely recommend.
