Snails as a starter were excellent. Pigeon and rabbit main courses were excellent- very tasty, beautifully cooked; well presented. Will definitely go again.

The only thing I’d raise is that the restaurant would benefit from some air con in the summer- it was a bit hot and stuffy which meant that we chose not to stay for dessert.

Lovely restaurant with high ceilings and interesting decor. We both had the set menu with a carafe of white wine. The creme with Roquefort was fluffy and you tasted the blue yet not overpowering. The goats cheese starter was equally tasty. The main of pigeon was perfectly pinkly done and the hake was also excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful.

By far the best restaurant in north London. We have been going here for years and they never fail to impress. The staff are amazing. We were invited to try a few wines before choosing - that was fun and they were all so interesting we ended up getting a few small carafes of different ones that we shared and tasted during the dinner. The food was great - it aways is. Their sauces are the real French deal! The atmosphere is lovely - we were seated in the back dining room - I had had my birthday party here a few years ago - but now they have new murals like in the front dining room - they said from the same artist - so lovely. Highly recommended!

Had a very enjoyable, high quality experience with a group of friends. Everything was delicious and made to the standards you would expect for this type of venue. Really spectacular – not only the food but the atmosphere was charming and warm. It is rare to find this kind of restaurant these days where you feel that someone paid attention to all the details. Our table especially enjoyed their tasting platters which gave us a sampling of their starters which were all super yummy, for mains I had the stuffed quail that was tender and juicy. My friend had the rabbit that he also enjoyed. Their sauces are incredible – obviously their speciality. Desserts also amazing – the tropical pavlova was like a cloud over Fiji! The staff are also knowledgeable and have a nice relaxed style that is not pushy but warm and accommodating. I highly recommend this little gem. Enjoy one of the best independent restaurants before all of London turns into characterless chains.

Good experience. Party of 9. Long table but noise levels low enough to hear conversation. 95 yr old able to hear and enjoy with a little movement of the rest of the party.
A la carte menu was excellent value. Rump of lamb with mushroom sauce was a star dish.
    Service excellent.
