With an art gallery in the basement, socially aware BIHP restaurant is set on the Keizersgracht, one of Amsterdam's most beautiful canals.
On the menu you'll find a selection of international dishes from roast duck and tournedos to Greek orzo. There is also an excellent value theatre menu. Desserts include frozen lemon and pine nut mousse and chocolate cake with red wine sauce.
Being passionate about social issues, BIHP also provides the option to 'skip dessert'. You pay for a dessert, but don't actually get one - the proceeds from this go to Orange Babies, a charity dedicated to getting medicine to HIV-positive pregnant women in Africa.
For more than just a meal out in Amsterdam, BIHP restaurant is an intimate place to enjoy art, tasty food, a friendly atmosphere and a chance to help those in need in another part of the world.
