The restaurant was buzzing, the food was delicious and the staff were excellent! They were attentive without being over the top and I felt they genuinely meant everything they said. It came across that they all really enjoyed working there.

A tranquil dining spot in the luxury Woodland Spa in Burnley, Bertram’s Restaurant offers seasonal British cuisine. Its panoramic windows look out from a chic, golden interior onto the rolling Burnley countryside.

Refined classics on the Bertram’s menu include moules marinière, and a tender braised lamb shank with red wine jus, Lancashire cheese and parsley mash and roast carrot and parsnip crumble. Among enticing international dishes is a trio of oriental fish, and a smoked salmon and crayfish linguine made with a splash of chilli vodka. The ‘connoisseur’s choice’ burger is a delicately hand-formed sirloin steak hash with fries and a pepper sauce.

An elegant underlit bar in the Bertram’s Restaurant in Burnley houses a range of sophisticated champagnes for special occasions, alongside French and New World wines. There’s a special spa day menu, as well as tasting events and live music.

The Woodland Spa is just a minute’s drive from the M65, and less than a mile from Burnley Central Railway Station. Please note, guests must be aged 16 years or over to dine at Bertram's Restaurant.

Lovely meal. Well cooked and presented. Service a little slow to start but otherwise good.

Nice for a change. Quite a noisy atmosphere, but wasn't unpleasant. Room temperature dropped to the point of being chilly over the evening, so a bit too much air conditioning. Menu choices were 'OK' but that's down to my personal view. Overall a pleasant evening and we will return.

I've dined at Bertram's a lot but I brought my boyfriend for the first time who isn't from Lancashire and he actually commented on how lovely it was and he didn't expect to dine somewhere quite as good in Burnley. As always the service was fantastic with the staff rearranging plans so that I could have a table by the window and the food was delicious.

    Thank you.

Liked the decor and seating arrangements.
Disliked the prices! £50 for a bottle of SB Marlborough is daylight robbery! Also food was also quite expensive and even though the dishes were beautifully presented they did not wow us.
When the bill came extra drinks were on our bill they were going to charge us £170 for 4 people each having a starter and a main - the bill then went down to £120 when we pointed out the mistakes.
