Unprofessional by the restaurant manger. The person who served us was brilliant though.

Service a little slow at times but loved the food, especially the dark chocolate samosa with saffron custard.

Enjoyed the meal, the shared street food option with cocktails. Cocktails very tasty with food good to very good. We were still hungry at the end though as it’s a collection of small dishes only. As the 3 added cocktails were expensive (about 15 each plus service) it was about £110 for two in total and as we were still hungry it didn’t feel like good value compared to a decent Indian restaurant in the suburbs. The food in general was tasty (especially the fish and lamb mince with bread rolls) although some dishes too heavily spiced for me (the spiciest samosas I’ve ever had by a mile) but not Michelin star standard level - not surprised when I saw they lost their star the next day. At this price I think there are better fine dining options and for decent Indian food there are better value options also. I don’t think I would rush back as a result.

Our first visit and we were impressed how Asian spicing is applied to inventive modern dishes. It is not easy to match wine with such food but the wine pairings that we had were well chosen. Service was low key but friendly, although the momentum slowed down rather more than it should have towards the end of the meal. Good value with a deal.

Had such a lovely evening. Took three friends who had never dined there before so was nervous, especially as AK is no longer Patron. The food was delicious and the cocktails devine. Everything/everyone was faultless.

Consistent delivery is a feature of this great restaurant and this was no exception. A exceptional starter from potatoes and kale, a main course of minced venison yet his was yummy and a fantastic chocolate samosa for dessert. Yum!

This was our second visit to Benares. The staff are very welcoming and helpful .we were seated quickly and offered water and snacks whilst we decided to have a cocktail. The cocktails are excellent and well worth the money, my wife had a mojito and I had a Benares Collins needless to sat they were not your ordinary mojo to or Collins, delicious. We chose the street food menu which consisted of five dishes, our favourites were chicken Momos and the venison keema mince.
