A beautiful 4-star hotel set in a luscious 475 acres of Lincolnshire countryside, Belton Woods is a luxurious example of traditional British indulgence.
All the traditional treats are served on the Afternoon Tea at Belton Woods menu, and come beautifully presented. To start, there are delicate finger sandwiches with gourmet fillings like poached chicken with lime and coriander mayonnaise, and English salted cucumber with apple crème fraîche, moving on to home-baked plain and sultana scones served with Cornish clotted cream and red berry preserves.
Belton Woods in Grantham, is also home to Stantons Brasserie, offering a range of classic British dishes, steaks and fusion cuisine. A carvery dinner is also served, featuring a choice of roast meats, fish dishes and vegetarian options.

We had a lovely carvery meal on Saturday night and then booked a table for 6 on Monday night which was Table d’hote menu. The menu for which wasn’t available until 3pm on the day!!! We were very disappointed the asparagus /poached egg starter was cold and the main course of which 4 of us had the chicken main course which was very small not even a whole chicken breast!!!
It is a shame that the Claret Jug and the hotel bar has the same menu as there is not must choice when you are staying in the lodges.

Poor. We had a booking for afternoon tea today at 2 pm. We arrived to book in at 1.30 to be told there was no record of our booking, even though we provided an email confirmation, which the waiter himself substantiated. We were then told that we would have to wait until 2.15 for our sitting. At 2.25, we were still waiting and there was no sign of any food being provided for us, nor were we so much as offered a glass of complimentary wine. As the afternoon was ruined for us, we left without having any food. The waiter advised us to contact the hotel to inform them of what happened, which I did. I still haven't had a reply. What was supposed to be a special treat turned out to be a fiasco.

Easy process to book a table, much easier in fact than ringing them direct so that’s a massive plus. The meal was nice but for the price I laid I would have expected better quality. My partners mash was cold and mine was like warm at best. Service was very good and meal was timely

We hadn’t been here before for dinne but it was recommended by a friend. Firstly the service was good the restaurant was very quiet. We were a party of four celebrating my wife’s birthday. 2 of us had moulded pork shoulder, I’m afraid to say the ladies were not too keen a bit tasteless and if I’m honest the presentation could have been better. We men had to help with that. My wife’s sweet of lemon maringue pie was a bitter disappointment. It was such a meagre portion. No bigger than the fork prongs. The chef must have had a good giggle at serving that. I did say to the waitress,is that it? My wife has a photo which will be making it’s way to head office. We personally won’t be eating there again in the evenings. We will just carry on having Sunday lunches.
