Restaurant description

Heralded by AA Gill as a place to eat 'once a week for the rest of your life’, Bellamy’s Restaurant serves classic French cuisine. Choose from the loaded delicatessen, or the trendy oyster bar with its contemporary buzz.

In upmarket Mayfair, Bellamy’s Restaurant presents a chic retreat, oozing classic Parisian style. The tempting dishes are uncomplicated yet delicious, combining time-honoured recipes and sublime culinary expertise. From Bellamy’s menu, rich flavours like terrine of foie gras and pork Provencale are offset by a delicate crab salad, or smoked eel mousse.

For a casual bite, diners head to the trendy oyster bar, where Bellamy’s famous open sandwiches can be enjoyed with a glass from the well-sourced French wine selection. For those feeling indulgent, classic desserts include crème brulee, or refreshing pineapple carpaccio.

Acclaimed by renowned food critic Fay Maschler, Bellamy’s Mayfair brings authentic French style to the heart of London. Bond Street Tube Station is just 8 minutes’ walk away.

The staff were attentive but not overbearing, endlessly polite, and the manager took the time to speak to us and thank us for coming. The wine list is exceptionally good, and the food is of an excellent quality. The restaurant is in the very best tradition of Anglo-French dining.

I love this restaurant and I visit frequently. The atmosphere is civilised, the staff are lovely, and the martinis are outstanding. I would strongly recommend the escargots and the fish fingers as starters, and apparently the steak tartare (not my choice) went down a treat. Great selection of fish. I almost don’t want to recommend Bellamy’s because I always want to be able to get a table. But it’s great.

Our first visit and had a lovely lunch. Lovely greeting when we arrived a little early and the meal itself was perfect. My husband has a small appetite these days and was able to find dishes that suited him and I enjoyed dishes from the a la carte menu.

As ever the most wonderful evening - delicious food, a warm welcome from the exceptional Gavin Rankin and the superb maître d' Luigi with his excellent staff looked after us beautifully throughout the evening. This restaurant never fails to provide the best, and more! Our very best wishes to everyone at the restaurant for a Merry Christmas 2019, a Happy New Year and very successful 2020

We have known of Bellamy’s for some time, but, oh how we wish we had tried it sooner! Love, love, loved it. Charming interior, excellent staff and prompt service and very tasty food with perfect wine choices for the menu, all at reasonable prices. We shall definitely return. Ambience was sophisticated yet relaxed. All that was missing was Nicky Haslam on our visit, but the excellent partridge and Pouilly-Fumé made up for it!

I thought it was quite a nice experience overall. Lovely staff and good service. The food was fine but not as good as i had expected. Presentation could be improved and house selection of vegetables - french beans and spinach - could have been mote colourful. I may go back and give it another go.
