We visited the restaurant yesterday Saturday 25th March at 4.30 and we waited 30 minutes for our drinks order to arrive ,our food order took another 20 minutes to arrive so we finally ate 50 minutes after being seated. The first bottle of wine we ordered was not available and that is the third time in 3 weeks that it wasn't available, the waitress said that the last bottle had just been sold ???? The service was deplorable , the food was quite nice but I don't think we'll visit again anytime soon .

Staff were excellent but value for money was poor. I had the 'below 600 calorie' pizza so I expected it to be small but then when the bill came it had cost £10.99!! I cannot believe they think it is acceptable to charge that amount for a kids size pizza and a tiny amount of salad!
Also everyone was sitting with their jackets on as it was freezing with rhe door being kept open all the time with the queue of people.

We were seated at 6pm as per our booking. The restaurant was busy but it's not a very large restaurant. It took them half an hour to get us our drinks order and the children's starters still hadn't arrived an hour later. For three hungry toddlers that long of a wait was almost unbearable. Their starters arrived with their mains. They were so hungry they completely bypassed the starters and ate their dinner. The girls spaghetti was fine, but my two year old sons tiny burger was dry as a bone and he choked trying to eat it.
Our lasagne was in a word miniscule. It barely covered the bottom of a small skillet. Nothing else was with it. It wouldn't have fed a child let alone a grown six foot man, who was left still as hungry as when he came despite paying £13 for his food.
Overpriced, with miserable portions is how I would describe Bella Italia. They claim it's 'just like mama makes' but I'm pretty sure 'mama' never left us hungry and broke.
