On the peaceful riverside at Reading’s Oracle Shopping Centre, Bella Italia Reading Oracle offers a great modern Italian dining experience. The expansive terrace to the front of the restaurant is always popular for al fresco dining.
With authentic Italian ingredients sourced from real Italian-family producers, the Bella Italia menu is filled with dishes to suit every appetite. Enjoy a delicious pizza, hand-stretched for a thin & crispy base, or one of their many pasta dishes, with fresh pasta produced by the Gaetarelli family near Lake Garda, and lasagne made in-house every day to a traditional Italian family recipe. The menu also features a selection of fresh salads, tasty Italian classics & family favourites from the grill.
Enjoy a complementing glass from Bella Italia's extensive wine list, or celebrate something special with a glass of Prosecco or a signature Italian cocktail, like the classic Aperol Spritz. Kids can also enjoy a tasty Italian feast from the kids menu at Bella Italia restaurant, with a trip to the gelato cart offering the perfect ending to any meal.

Friendly welcome. Restaurant not busy (Sunday evening) so lacking in atmosphere. Food very average but no lasagne, bolognese or tiramisu - not good for an Italian! Meals all lacked sufficient vegetables or even a garnish in some cases. Steak expensive at nearly £20, quite tough and very difficult to cut without a steak knife being provided! Service not the best unfortunately (lack of intuition). Sorry but unlikely to return.

My wife and I visited on 27 July 2017 We shared: :Caramelised Onion and Mozzarella My wife had: Pollo Caesar I had: Pizza Campagna Red pepper, red onion, mozzarella, goat's cheese, Pachino tomatoes, rocket, pine nuts and balsamic glaze All excellent quality. Service slightly slow, but we weren't in a hurry. Our visit was very noisy as there was a party of young mums with tiny children, who made a lot of noise. i guess this was just unfortunate co-incidence. Nice decor.

The menu is very confusing for gluten free dining. The butterfly chicken has the gluten free sign including onion rings which I thought was strange. I asked the waitress to check and she came back and said no they contain gluten. Onion rings are also advertised in the extra section of the menu with the gluten free sign. I asked the manager and he said I was reading it incorrectly and that they could be made GF. I said I asked for that and he had no reply for me. Be very careful if you're celiac in this restaurant.

I've never been to a Bella Italia before; the food options were quite varied and the staff were friendly and good with the kids. Would recommend for a family meal.

The service was very good, our waitress was charming and attentive. I had the spiral veg instead of spaghetti with prawns and it was delicious. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal!
