We we're staying in Liverpool for the weekend and booked last minute online. The restaurant was full and the atmosphere was great. We had a fantastic waiter who took the time to advise us on a couple of great dishes when we asked for help. Nice friendly place with delicious food, we hope to go back.

We had Cotto and Marguerita pizzas which were absolutely delicious. Nice crisp base and the right amount of toppings. However the garlic bread was very dry and papery and there was very little garlic. Bella Italia's garlic bread used to be very buttery/oily with lots of garlic and parsley - please bring it back again.

Lasagna pasta was dry around the edges & little mince in it. Had one from M&S today...tastier, more filling & less than half the price. Portobello burger - nothing exciting. Menu is very limited & not really inspiring & food wasn't brilliant. Went to another Italian chain the following night in LV1, similar price but more choice & the food was fantastic.

Awful experience, had to wait an hour for food to be served, at which time it was served to the next table to us, then taken off and put onto an empty table whilst the waiters wondered what to do with it. It was then taken to the kitchen, only to be returned a few minutes later to the same wrong table. These guests then gave us the food and left, annoyed. Food was then given to us cold. After many complaints and a very rude waiter, we ate luke warm food. Only saving grace was the manager finally gave in and charged us a lot less for food.

Went to Bella Italia for a 'welcome back to Liverpool Mum' family meal, couldn't of chosen a better restaurant. The staff couldn't of been more helpful and friendly - nothing was too much for them and did everything with a smile or a laugh. Dishes on the menu were hard to chose between but eventually we did and food was beautiful and plentiful ... even the children's meals. Everyone in our party left the restaurant satisfied and happy .. and full!! Will be going again
