A hotly-anticipated arrival in Soho, Belgo is part of the Belgian restaurant group established way back in in the 1990s. Choose your favourite brew from the Belgo bar, which showcases over 50 different beers.
Favourites on the Belgo menu include pulled duck croquettes and Mussels traditionelle. For something a little bit different, swap the classic mussel sauce for kimchi or green Thai. To finish, guests can build their own indulgent pudding, with a bubble waffle as the base. Belgo also offers a dedicated children's menu, as well as pre-theatre and express menus.
Sprawled over 2 floors with huge windows, an open kitchen and walls decked with colourful pictures and photographs, Belgo has a laidback but vibrant atmosphere. Belgo Soho is equipped with 4 individually themed caves, seating up to 14 people, offering the ultimate private dining experience.
In one of central London’s buzziest areas, Belgo is a 5-minute walk from Leicester Square Tube Station.

Seated downstairs which was noisy due to location of speakers and pretty cramped. Service was OK but we were left waiting for our mains for a while after starters came out within minutes, but food was bland, in my case inedible. The fish (fish and chips) had been fried within an inch of its life and was chewy and inedible. Bisque was gritty, mussels were bland. Real disappointment.

Would be 5 however the burger was pink in the middle, great for steak but not for minced meat. Also the door from the restaurant to the gents toilet could do with an auto close mechanism for two reasons A, the door has a fire advisory sticker saying keep closed, then a waiter jams it open. B, when closed the smell from the toilets was kept at bay. Thanks

Having enjoyed dining at Belgo in Covent Garden a few years ago, I decided to book them for a Christmas meal. However, I was extremely disappointed with the decrease in quality and service at their Soho branch. Firstly, upon arrival for our booking, our table wasn’t ready and the group of 9 of us were asked to wait at the bar. The waitress who told us to wait at the bar, resumed tending tables and clearly forgot about us - after waiting 25 minutes, I approached her to ask if the table was ready and she rushed down to prepare it then seated us. Our booking was for 8:30 but we didn’t sit down until near enough 9pm - this is unacceptable and if we had been in a rush to head somewhere afterwards, our Christmas celebrations would have been ruined. Secondly, there was a lot of errors with the orders. Two guests phoned Belgo 4 days prior to the booking to cancel their pre-ordered starters (switching from 3 courses to 2 courses) and were assured this was done. However, during the meal, 1 of the cancelled starters was brought out and when we said it was cancelled along with the other starter - they said it wasn’t. One of the guests ordered the pre-starter item of prosecco and nibbles - the staff forgot about the nibbles and my guest had to request them upon realising after her starter. For 1 of the chocolate torte orders, it was requested in the special requirements that no cherry compote was put on the dessert - the staff forgot about this and bought it out with cherry compote, which had to be sent back. Finally, the worst part of the meal was actually the main course of Turkey Ballotine. The quality was absolutely poor; the vegetables and roasted potatoes were clearly frozen rather than fresh; this was evident as majority of the potatoes were cold/still frozen in the middle. This was by far one of the worst meals I have ever had and I won’t be dining at Belgo again.
