Overall the restaurant was great! They had a vast selection of beers and the waffles were to die for. The service was lovely and we booked under the star deal which made it really good value for money.

At Belgo Noord in Camden, a superb range of eclectic Belgian cuisine and beers are served. Split into 2 areas, the restaurant boasts chic, contemporary décor, with high glass ceilings.

Uncomplicated yet delicious Belgian delicacies are served on the Belgo menu. Favourites include parma ham with celeriac remoulade, wild boar sausages with Belgian stoemp mash and berry jus, or there’s always the house favourite − mussels with cream, white wine and garlic. Belgo also offers a dedicated children's menu, as well as pre-theatre and express menus.

The Belgo restaurant drinks menu offers one of the largest selections of Belgian beers in the UK. As well as renowned beers brewed by monks within Trappist monasteries, there’s also a range of tasty fruit brews and blonde ales. The dessert menu at Belgo London offers decadent treats such as Brussels-style waffles, and Belgian chocolate bread and butter pudding.

A stone’s throw from the bustling Camden Market, Camden Belgo Noord is a 4-minute walk from Chalk Farm Tube Station.

The place was curiously quiet at 2030, and when our main courses arrived it became apparent why : they were just lukewarm and had obviously been assembled without any input from anyone who might have called himself a chef. Same for the desserts. Both were abandoned. Very disappointing.

Excellentdealofmussles, burger and tart (crepes were off).
Did not like the wheat beer included, so had a separate Trappist ale.

starters: chicken liver pâté and lobster bisque were both superb, moules mariniere a bit dried out but the waterzooi was excellent. waffles highly recommended for dessert ( if you have the space!)

I have not had a recent opportunity to eat at the brilliant Belgo-Noord in Chalk Farm Road since I moved to Sunny Suffolk a few years ago from Primrose Hill (where I lived for 32 years) until my last visit a few days ago. If you enjoy timeless style then I can only recommend it. The menu is comprehensive for most tastes, the wine list appropriate, the choice of beers incredible. My Starter, Main course and pudding were all full of surprising delicious flavours. The atmosphere as I remembered remains relaxed, civilised and most of all enjoyable. Quite genuinely the service was impeccable in my opinion, thoughtful and attentive without pressure. I went for lunch and also enjoyed a moment of Bliss, thank you Belgo-Noord and all of you that work there.
