At Belgo Noord in Camden, a superb range of eclectic Belgian cuisine and beers are served. Split into 2 areas, the restaurant boasts chic, contemporary décor, with high glass ceilings.

Uncomplicated yet delicious Belgian delicacies are served on the Belgo menu.Favourites include carbonade and stoemp mash, garlic and herb sausages, or there`s always the house favourite – mariniere mussels – with garlic, celery, onion, butter, white wine and cream. Belgo also offers a dedicated children's menu, as well as pre-theatre and express menus.

The Belgo restaurant drinks menu offers one of the largest selections of Belgian beers in the UK. As well as renowned beers brewed by monks within Trappist monasteries, there’s also a range of tasty fruit brews and blonde ales. The dessert menu at Belgo London offers treats such as bubble waffles, speculoos cheesecake or chocolate fondue.

A stone’s throw from the bustling Camden Market, Camden Belgo Noord is a 4-minute walk from Chalk Farm Tube Station.

Food was good apart from cold Onion Rings on Burger but the latter quickly replaced. Restaurant is pretty noisy but that seems par for the course these days - no table cloths or wall hangings to deaden the sound. We had the special offer menu which was quite good value.

Very good. Tasty, with friendly accommodating staff. Didn’t fuss we ordered fairly small meal and asked to turn music down!

Moules frites were good. Beer was excellent!

Not terrible but not very good either. The Carbonade was hot but unseasoned. The chicken was seasoned but extremely dried out. Mussels were good as were the fries. Stick to what they advertise; Moules Frites Biere.

The place was curiously quiet at 2030, and when our main courses arrived it became apparent why : they were just lukewarm and had obviously been assembled without any input from anyone who might have called himself a chef. Same for the desserts. Both were abandoned. Very disappointing.

Excellentdealofmussles, burger and tart (crepes were off).
Did not like the wheat beer included, so had a separate Trappist ale.

starters: chicken liver pâté and lobster bisque were both superb, moules mariniere a bit dried out but the waterzooi was excellent. waffles highly recommended for dessert ( if you have the space!)

Overall the restaurant was great! They had a vast selection of beers and the waffles were to die for. The service was lovely and we booked under the star deal which made it really good value for money.
