Restaurant description
In a converted former bank, Belgo – Holborn serves superb Belgian cuisine and beers. Boasting contemporary surroundings, the bank vault in the restaurant has been converted into a beer cellar.
Uncomplicated yet delicious Belgian delicacies are served on the Belgo menu. Favourites include carbonade and stoemp mash, garlic and herb sausages, or there`s always the house favourite – mariniere mussels – with garlic, celery, onion, butter, white wine and cream. Belgo also offers a dedicated children's menu, as well as pre-theatre and express menus.
The Belgo restaurant drinks menu offers one of the largest selections of Belgian beers in the UK. As well as renowned beers brewed by monks within Trappist monasteries, there’s also a range of tasty fruit brews and blonde ales. The dessert menu at Belgo London offers decadent treats such as bubble waffles, speculoos cheesecake or chocolate fondue.
Between the Strand and Holborn, Kingsway Belgo is only 4 minutes’ walk from Holborn Tube Station.

A nice place for weekday dinners. The dishes are delicious and the variety of drinks is much appreciated. The surroundings are eclectic given the initial purpose of the building.

Food was excellent. Enough variety on the set menu for everyone to find something they liked. Especially enjoyed the crepes and Lobster bisque. Only slight negative was the noise level in the restaurant. Made it difficult to have conversation.

Arrived on time. Greeted by one of the Bar men and was seated in a pretty good time. Service was lacking, waitress seemed to not give eye contact and walked pass really fast as I was trying to get her attention multiple times. Eventually, I managed to grab her attention, however I was given a pointed finger from her to 'wait'. Felt uneasy and believed that level of service is unpleasant for any customers to receive. Ordered a red bottle of wine from one of the waitress wearing no apron and glasses and when the wine was delievered to the table it was the wrong bottle of wine - I started to think that original waiter did not listen carefully to what I have ordered. No service skills here at all, needs to be improved and addressed. On a positive note, there was one lady who worked there no apron uniform, short brown hair was very helpful, told me the waiting time of the food, smiled, good level of service from here. Food was average quite tasty but took more than an hour to arrive on our table.

Nice busy atmosphere. We had to ask for the Bookatable offer so I'm glad I had my email confirmation with me. Food was very nice and the service was very good.

The moules, BBQ rotisserie and waffle were all fantastic! Delish food, BIG portions (we were stuffed!) and an amazing price!
