Very kind stuff and amazing food

With an inviting glass façade, chefs at Beijing Dumpling create Chinese food in full view of the bustle outside. In the heart of Chinatown, traditional dishes contrast with modern décor to form a vibrant, authentic restaurant.
The Beijing Dumpling menu offers traditional starters like satay chicken, and crispy duck with pancakes, as well as a house speciality befitting of the restaurant’s name: a range of meat, fish and vegetarian dumplings. Aromatic mains include chicken with cashew nuts, pepper salted pork chops and braised bean curd with Chinese mushrooms.
Classic noodle and rice dishes are on offer, as well as the enticing Indonesian-style fried rice and Malaysian-style fried ho fun. Even the drinks menu is exotic, with traditional Chinese teas being joined by a fresh soya bean drink and a sugar cane root drink. The décor is modern, the large glass windows revealing the wooden-panelled walls and ambient low lighting behind.
Beijing Dumpling in London is a 2-minute walk from Leicester Square Tube Station.

The restaurant was absolutely amazing. We had a party of 6 people, all ordering different dishes and everyone was impressed by their food. We shall definitely go again!

Lovely dumplings, especially the pan fried pork ones. The rest of the food was good too, notably a dish of minced pork and green beans and also dry fried chicken noodles. Everything had plenty of flavour and was pleasantly not made too spicy, even when a red chilli appeared beside an item on the menu. On that note, asking for less chilli in a dish is not advised, as the chicken with garlic dish ended up being quite bland, but that was our fault. Service was friendly too and prices quite reasonable, so we will definitely return.

Delicious xiao long bao

The xiao long bao were amazing, just as promised. Other dishes ranged from super tasty to pretty standard. The service wasn’t very attentive but were also not at all rude. The atmosphere was a bit loud downstairs but otherwise surprisingly spacious for a Chinese restaurant and clean. Overall an enjoyable birthday dinner experience.

We booked on-line and the table was ready for us when we arrived.
The staff don't talk much, but I wasn't there to pass the time of day so that was fine.
Menu and order sheet were on the table, quite an easy system, decide what you want and mark it on the list. I don't know why others don't do the same.
The food was tasty, plentiful and hot - there is not much else to say other than I plan to visit again on my next visit to London in September.

The food is always quite good but this time around we found the staff less than welcoming and this took away from our experience.
