The dining experience from start to finish was excellent. Food, ambience and most especially service was first class.

A birthday treat for my mum. My husband & i had been before but it was mum's first visit. It's a lovely restaurant with a view overlooking the cricket pitch. The tables were well spaced out, one way markings on the floor due to the current covid rules. The drinks & food orders were taken within minutes. The main sunday roast of beef & chicken were tasty with plenty of veg. Normally you would go & choose your desserts from a dessert table which is great, but at the moment a selection is brought to your table to share. disappointed with the small amount we got for 3 people, 1 slice of chocolate fudge cake, a mini crumble, a eton mess meringue & 2 mini, not even biscuit sized cheesecakes I don't know if we could have asked for more but the offer would have been nice. We will go again as it's so relaxing dining there.

Lovely fillet steak cooked just right. The chimichurri sauce complemented the steak really well. However, someone in our group had the sirloin and thought that it was quite bland. We thought there was a lack of choice for dessert but tried the sponge pudding. Despite initially being put off by the bird's custard it was very tasty.

Friendly staff and big efforts to be COVID safe - somewhat misguided and erratic though. Putting chairs too close to walkways for example. Service rather slow and menu limited and overpriced.

It was OK, much better on our visit a month ago when you could use the buffet

The food and service were very good. My only reservation is the lack of variety for the main course on the dinner menu. Cottage pie and fish and chips are not my idea of fine dining in a 4 star hotel. Apart from the beef steaks and burgers, there was not very much else on the menu which appealed to us

Disorganised. Had to learn what was on the breakfast menu by looking at other diners' tables. Lots of free tables but then they sat another couple next to us, so not complying with social distancing. Toast arrived after we had eaten breakfast.
