By day, Beast Restaurant is a farm shop and cafe, showcasing the best in British agricultural produce. By night, it becomes a restaurant, serving seasonal, field-to-fork home-produced recipes. The interior feels like a rustic barn, with a vaulted ceiling and exposed wooden beams, with comfy booths that are perfect for cosy family meals.

Top quality ingredients from the local area go into the Beast Restaurant menu, with a great mixture of classic and modern recipes on offer. Popular starters include the baked goat cheese and beetroot ripple savoury cheesecake with garden herb crumbs, while the signature steaks are cooked to perfection on the Robata charcoal grill. There is pan-seared topside of local venison, saddle of lamb wrapped in chef's own black pudding, and a popular salmon wellington too.

Desserts at Beast Restaurant in West Yorkshire include classic favourites like signature sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce and ice cream, as well as apple and rhubarb crumble. On Sundays, the roast dinners are a popular draw, and come loaded with all the trimmings.

A great showcasing of celebrated British agriculture, Beast sits just 5 minutes' drive from Featherstone Rail Station.

The beast at farmer copleys is a lovely setting the decor is beautiful
It was a bit cold where our party sat when we were there
Our starters were nice especially the black pudding
Our main courses were a bit of a let down
One had to go back as it was cold one of the steaks was more rare than medium and my lamb which I was asked if I wanted pink or cooked through which I chose the latter was pink disappointing because the presentation was lovely
The deserts went down well no problems with those
The girls who were waiting on the tables were lovely nothing was a problem
Don't think we will be going back for an evening meal but we love the breakfasts there so will still go for breakfast

Honestly I can't express enough how amazing this restaurant is.
I love how they manage it. Iran not over crowded or over bearing . You know the chef has time to spend on your meal.
The chefs talents are beyond amazing. This is our third time and it's been utterly amazing each time! The prawns are unreal! Pulled pork fritter amazing! And the hog roast spring rolls also unreal! The roast is amazing! It's the only place I've been where you don't get a big lump of sweaty buttery veg! The veg is fresh and you can tell it's all freshly cooked and home grown! The staff are also lovely! There's a young waitress we have had everyone who is so seeet and helpful. Really bubbly she adds to the nice atmosphere !
Also the rug add crumpble is award winning! I hate puddings but tried my boyfriends and ate the lot! Wonderful place .

After placing an order we waited 45 minutes to be then told that one of the meals had been ruined and that there was no more so could we chose something else from the menu. After an hour was offered a free round of drinks. Meals finally arrived about 1 hour and 15 minutes after placing the order. Food was only average and expensive for what you got. The place itself was really nice and the staff were very apologetic.

The restaurant had a very lovely feel and the way it was set out was very good no overcrowded feel even tho very busy. As only first time difficult to say about dishes as only sampled one. Starters were lovely but bit disappointed with risotto as not quite as menu stated and whilst risotto itself was lovely fish was a little overwhelming over whole dish and a little dry.

The food was very nice, and although the staff were pleasant enough, the service was slow.
My son ordered the burger and asked for no onion relish nor salad accompaniment, but there was onion relish on the bun when it arrived so this had to go back and exchanged for a fresh bun.
My steak was cold by the time it arrived so that had to go back.

Beautifully prepared food, hot and tasty. The back pudding starter was a little over seasoned for my partner but the mains were delicious, lovely wine list and the gin selection is great, really enjoyed finishing off the evening with Angel divine gin which is distilled in Huddersfield. Local produce served well, lovely surroundings, great atmosphere and helpful and friendly staff. We've been twice and as it's a short taxi ride away it's quickly becoming one of our favourites places to eat.

Our meal was divine! Couldn't fault it. The steak was melt in your mouth, the salmon Wellington was perfect. Out two starters were very tasty. Excellent service

The service was good attentive if a little slow. The food was great. We had a Sauvignon Blanc, which was hardly chilled.
