Soup and mousse most enjoyable. Sandwiches OK but limited filling. Scones probably made previous day. Chocolate mousse cake delicious carrot cake moist. Cutlery large and not always appropriate ie no cake forks.

On line booking through was excellent.Bartle Hall staff were professional, helpful and friendly. On arriving we were shown into the bar and asked to sit in "grubby" seats ( holes in the upholstery arms) We were quickly shown into the dining room which was excellent. Food was very good as were coffee and drinks. Overall a good experience and would recommend.

Took my mother for afternoon tea for a special birthday treat where we dined in a very elegant garden room with a beautiful outlook. The whole experience was excellent from start to finish with a wide variety of food to choose from from soup, pies, scones, sandwiches, cup cakes and finished off with spicy Winter Pimms, The service was first class and we will most definitely return!

The day was lovely. Arrived at 2-30 and shown to the residents lounge which was nicely laid out with tasteful furnishing. The dining room was set looking over the rear garden and the room was very bright from the large windows. The afternoon tea was beautiful specially the warm Pimms, perhaps would have been nice with another sandwich or two. Cakes were rather delicate as well as the scones. Not enough cream or jam for two. Overall my wife and I enjoyed our time at the hotel. Lastly all the staff were very friendly. I have had several afternoon teas and I feel for what we have the normal price of £40 a little dear, compared to similar quality hotels in and around Morecambe and Cumbria
