In September 1971, Barba Lazaros, a renown cook from the Athens suburb of Drosia and an expert in the art of peinirli-baking Anatolia-style, decided to take his fortunes and work in the area of Faliro. He had only one small goal - to reveal the golden secret recipe to baking the perfect dough-base for those Greek Minor-Asian cheese delights known as "peinirli", "Barba Lazaros".
For many years Barba Lazaros was a favourite restaurateur, enchanting the palates of great celebrities of the golden Greek cinema era, like beautiful blonde Aliki Vougiouklaki, charmer Dimitris Papamichael and funny-men Lambros Konstantaras and Giannis Gionakis.
Today, some 32 years later, history repeats itself and invites you to experience a wonderful menu with new additions inspired from modern Greek cuisine. These are new, truly original culinary combinations that will excite even the most demanding of customers.
