Excellent food and wine

An authentic slice of Spain, the Barcelona Tapas Bar and Restaurant in Lime Street combines Catalonian ambience and striking design features, including their giant 3D Gaudi-style lizard. With an extensive choice of Spanish desserts, fine wines and cocktails, Barcelona Tapas hold regular wine tasting events and live Flamenco guitar nights.
The third Barcelona Tapas restaurant in London, Lime Street extends the welcome enjoyed at its predecessors, sharing their passion for authentic Spanish food. Try the outstanding 3-year cured Serrano ham, or spicy chorizo and salchichon as zingy as the Barcelona Tapas speciality meatballs.
Barcelona Tapas’ abundant menu is packed with cheeses, seafood and vegetarian choices, all featuring in great value set menus big enough for 2 to share. Escalivada is a Catalan medley of grilled peppers, onions and aubergines, while the Buñuelos de Bacalao, or golden balls of salt cod, are a regional classic.
The Barcelona Tapas menu bursts with Spanish flavour, proving there’s much more to tapas than bar snacks. In the heart of central London, Barcelona Tapas Lime Street is a 4-minute walk from Monument Tube Station, and 6 minutes from Bank.

Went for lunch. Poor service, staff shouting around us and less than average food. Will not be returning.

Pigs cheeks are a must, so tender too. In fact everything we've had there has been amazing.

This is one of favourite Restaurants, let alone Tapas bars. This place is the one that I judge all other Tapas bars against.

I was not impressed with the service here or the food. We asked twice for the waiter to take out order. Our tapas took about 40 minutes to come, it did not all arrive at the same time, I am pretty confident the restaurant forgot to register our order with the chef. We ordered a variety of dishes, some okay, some were horrid, in particular the chorizo was of very poor quality, imagine chorizo meat blended and then put in a saveloy type "skin" cooked then served in oil, we ordered spicy lamb, which was tiny stringy bits of lamb cooked in a very salty tomato sauce. We ordered prawns, which were replaced with over cooked scallops without the waiter informing us! No discount offered for poor service, they put the service charge on the bill, which we had removed.

It was a great evening. Staff very warm and friendly and knew the tapas and how much we should order. As we went mainly for tapas we order a variety from the menu. The spicy pork if you like hot is recommended along with the scallops. Would go there again. Thanks to Miguel for a lovely evening

Good value, in a basement so not the best location, good food and service, had a massive group next to us which was a bit offputting as they were so loud but not the restaurants fault.
